I love what Jesus taught. The peace, love, understanding part. I was just meaning that since he knew all the scriptures and prophecies, he knew what was expected. Like when Jesus said "Let righteousness be fulfilled" and rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, because this was a prophecy. If someone knows what is expected, how can it be trusted. Wouldn't prophecy be more believable if the subject didn't know about the prophecies? People who know what has been foretold would just have to do what has been said.

"On the next day the large crowd who had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began to shout, "Hosanna! BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, even the King of Israel."
Jesus, finding a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written,
"FEAR NOT, DAUGHTER OF ZION; BEHOLD, YOUR KING IS COMING, SEATED ON A DONKEY'S COLT."
These things His disciples did not understand at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things to Him."
(John 12:12-16)

After Jesus was raised from the dead, he appeared to His disciples and said this:

44He said to them, "This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms."

"Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things"

(Luke 24:44-48)

How did Jesus know when to be born. If you look back to the prophecy in Dan. 9 the arrival of Christ is foretold- If Jesus is not who He said He was, then how could He control his birth date so as to be in Jerusalem at the right time? I could trust someone who could pull that off.

Jesus rose from the dead, healed the sick, etc. not everyone can pull that off even if they know what the prophecies state.

But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed" Isaiah 53:5

Yeah, the scriptural contradictions puzzle me too. I'm told my Heavenly Father doesn't come talk to me because I have to have faith, but Jesus performed miracles all the time and fulfilled prophecies in order to help people believe in him. So why does God require faith at all? Why not just come talk to us like any other loving father would?

You can't trust the validity of Jesus being the savior. As a matter of fact this is demonstrably untrue. The part about Jesus teaching peace, love, and understanding is a misconception also... Jesus preached no such thing, people will often read that into the text though.

I know what is expected and I trust it. What is the problem? You either live by faith in God through Jesus Christ...or you don't. The choice is yours. That seems pretty simple to me, why do you insist on making it complicated?

rose from the dead, dies by crucifiction, preformed miracles, didn't sin... maybe you don't take that as enough validation but considering he fufilled every single prophecy in the bible concerning him(save for what is to come) i would say he was the real deal........

We can trust Jesus bc He rose from the dead. I have never seen anyone refute the resurrection. His resurrection proves He is who He said He is.

In Jesus dwells ALL the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Col.2:9 below) -

o God the Father
o The Holy Spirit of God the Father
o The Word of God the Father

The only begotten son of God the Father (Jn.1:14 below), Jesus (the Word - Jn.1:1, Jn.1:14 below), His beloved Son (Matt.3:17 below), was conceived of the Holy Ghost (Matt.1:20 below).

It is God the Father who conceived in Mary (blessed among women) His very Word through His very Holy Spirit (Matt.1:20 below).

Col.2:9 For in him dwelleth ALL the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Jn.1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, (Matt.1:20, Matt.3:17 below)) full of grace and truth.

Jn.1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (Re.1:6, Lk.1:47 below).

Re.1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God (Jn.1:1 above) AND his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Lk.1:47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour (Jn.1:14, Jn.1:1, Re.1:6 above).

Lk.1:68 Blessed [be] the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

Matt.3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son (Matt.1:20 below), in whom I am well pleased.

Matt.1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost (Jn.1:14, Matt.3:17 above).
