If a girl under the age of 18 finds herself in an unfortunate situation, she still has the right to decide what to do. If she decides to end a pregnancy using the Plan B, she should be allowed to. However, I do believe that her parents should be aware of the situation. The reason for this is there can be complications. If medical assistance is needed, the parents would be the ones that would ensure that she would get it.

All females have the right...regardless of age...to decide if they want to continue a pregnancy...wanted or not.

I am not for or against abortion. I have mixed views on it. From a personal point of view and having had to have 2 pregnancies terminated because they were ectopic, I believe that abortion should be available to any female that desires one. At the same time, I do not believe that abortion should be used as a method of birth control. All females need to take responsilibity for their sexual actions.

Plan B gives females a private, safe option to ending an unwanted or accidental pregnancy. They don't have to face protesters at clinics who think they are bad people for wanting to end a pregnancy.

Have you heard the saying never judge a person until you have walked a mile in their shoes? Why a female decides to end a pregnancy is not your concern. It is a personal and private decision.

Yes, a girl under 18 SHOULD inform their parents. No, they should not need permission to make a decision that will forever alter their lives. They will have enough to deal with.

Essentially if you are under 18 you are not legally an adult. If you start making exceptions it can get out of hand.

As is, I don't think they require parental permission for birth control any more. So why would you need to go with plan B? Some level of responsibility must be shown. If you can't be bothered to get birth control or use protection and end up needing this, it's time to pay the piper.

If it's an extreme case, like a rape, why would you not tell your parents? If that's really not a possibility then I could see getting plan B without parental permission. But that would have to require a police report or something or every girl would claim rape.

Until you are 18 years old, you must abide by your guardian's rules, legally. That's the way it is, and everyone knows that. In a case like this, I'm not sure how you justify the exception.

I work with teenagers and this subject on a daily basis. I dont think that a minor needs permission but she sure does need education. I think that everyone regardless of age should have education about anything thing medical, sexual, etc. Education will help to prevent the need for such medications and hopefully they will make good decisions later in life.

100% they should have to ask there parents. They are minors and minors are not responsable for themselfs. Not only that I am 100% agenst abortion. and even though many people dont think of it as that I , and alot of people in my religion do. from the moment the egg is fertilized it is a human being with rights. It is just as wrong for someone to abort a child the second after conseption, as it is for them to when it is one day from being 18. it is still a person and it has the right to live.

Yes they should have to ask their parents. Do you have any idea how much it cost a doctor for liability insurance? And if she's a minor the parents are responsible for what ever happens to her. And weather or not you agree with this, this is the way it is. This is the law and it's here to not just protect you but the parents and the doctor.

Doesn't matter what an article says, a minor should always get permission from theirs parents. Because a minor isn't mature enough to make mature deciaions.

I think this depends on the state. In Louisiana girls can visit access to pregnancy which presents options for upcoming mothers and they do not report it to the parents because of privacy acts.

I think if women can join the military, be responsible to have a vote and drink... then they should be responsibile enough to make descions for themselves, not just our countries well being.

I do not think that it should be legal for kids to get the kill pill with or without the parents permission. They should be forced to give birth and then give the child up for adoption. May be that way they won't go down so fast

Girls need to have what they need in order to protect themselves. If it be the morning after pill, so be it. Sex is a personal decision, and as we are all responsible for our bodies and our actions, we should also be peronally responsible for obtaining what we as woman need to keep ourselves safe, without age restrictions.

I am in favour of personal responsibility- and girls having access to morning after medication without consent of other people who's bodies are NOT concerned.

Same with drinking. Why can I serve my country but not be legally aloud to drink alcohol? Another time dear friends...
