Pangel, it's easier to hate than love. Love needs courage and strong emotions, tolerance & affection. While hating is easy, no affection, intolerance & no effort to be made.

I'm afraid to say, in this day and age, no it's not odd. I'd rather love than hate, I'd rather supportpeople than ridicule but apathy has become the dominant factor of our lives, just watch peoples interactions in a city next time you're there, how many joke and laugh with those they don't know and how many look in disgust at those who bump into them or even make eye contact. It's a defense mechanism developed from living and working in such over populated areas. The violation of personal space and problems like road rage are a by product of our civilisation just as much as pollution and crime are. Useless, counter productive and damaging to health, a social divider and, conversley, a species wide unification, a concept we actively participate in and yet cannot fail to ignore.

Personally, I think love covers one emotion, wether it's the love of a partner, a parent, a god, love is a good feeling. Hate on the other hand can cover anything from pure hatred to revulsion, virtualy anything that angers you.
I could not love someone who is so full of hate so to those who have offered their love to this individual, I have the utmost respect for you, I just couldn't bring myself to consider it.

Heat is the absence of cold...
Light is the absence of darkness...
Love is the absence of hate...
A heart full of hate is a heart void of "Love"...
The human specie has a war going on in the heart, a war between goodness and evil. This war is the true Jihad that
man must wage, not an external war that pits one faith against another faith. Man must think on this!!

It's how the world works.....look at the media..nothing good because bad is what gets the ratings...our brains are designed to remember negative things 10xs easier than positive.

Simon Cowell uses this teqnique on American idol and his other pop programmes. He knew it would get higher viewing figures if he said outrageous and unpleasant things to some of his contestants. It is sad that television is not used more to help people.

Conditioning my love. We can blow up whatever we want on television but show a man and a women making love and the religious right will fall upon you in protest.
You tell me what is the real evil in the world.

I think it is harder to show love than hate because hatred seems to bring out our more baser, aggressive personality and we are not trying to hold back. We are afraid to show love because this shows vulnerability and no one wants to look weak. But we know that love can show greater strength because it is on fire without arousal.
