why would you have children and bring them into your poor existence? I don't understand why people who have nothing and can barely take care of themselves find it neccesary to breed. Why do these same people come here to the United States and continue to have child after child with no way to support them, except government handouts of course.

Hey there Anita- calm down missey. Did I ever say a word about ILLEGALS? Did I say anything about any one particular race? Maybe you should actually read and not jump the gun making assumptions. And I have never known one single white person to have 16 kids nor have I known one to marry their cousin. And believe me, I know alot of white people;)

I agree.
The next time some country overpopulated and asking for money comes knocking on the door of the USA, instead of $50 billion in "aid", we should give them some form of birthcontrol which would insure that no citizen makes any more babies until the ones they already have can be taken care of in a decent manner, and within the means of the nations resources.
Irresponsible overpopulation is what will destroy this entire planet.

I wish I knew coz so many in different parts of the world can't all use their relegion as to why they don't use birth control. Ignorance I guess, and not realizing you don't have to act with every impulse. It seems in alot of those places they have very little regard for their women and get some male ego boost for having so many kids. I just cry when I see films of those poor women just skin and bones and babies just laying there with flies all over them....crying all the time and I swear I'd be tempted to cut it off the next guy who would want to bring a child into such misery because of an urge. I mean there has to be other ways to find your sense of self-worth besides being fertile when you can't care for the babies. I'm sure alot of the women are raped and have no choice or feel obligated from beliefs.

My grandmothers sister had 16 kids. But this was over 100 years ago and they had a farm. They atleast took care of the kids and there was no government handouts then. The expectations of what parents were to provide were alot less than they are now. There wasn't the social pressures either for all the newest things. The girls had like 2 dresses....1 for every-day and one for Sunday go to meetin church. Guys maybe 2 pair of pants and 2 shirts. They were all very good musicians and made their own instruments....wasn't the pressure for TV, let alone cable, internet, i-pods, DVD players etc. Harder in some ways.....but frankly....I think I'd prefere that now instead of how it is some days. There's something to be said for simplicity. Of course with todays standards they'd probably have HRS knocking at the door.

You have to give some of the blame to the Catholic church. 90% of Hispanics are Catholic. It is strictly forbidden to use birth control according to Church law. Most of these people are poor, have little or no education and are very religious. I am not condoning the behavior, just trying to explain it. I am anti illegal immigration all the way. The US had best wake up before it's too late.

There is something that they don't have and that you should be grateful for: EDUCATION. It's something you wouldn't know, since you're an American white girl that has had everything in her life and doesn't understand (or doesn't want to understand) how living in other people's shoes is like. You know having children is not a good idea if you are poor because you had a standard education (even though it wasn't the best in the world). But many of these people barely make it to the third grade.

I agree with you. It makes me sick that I can't get help when I need it because I actually practice birth control. I have only need help 2 times and both times I was told to get a third job because I was being lazy. The first time was by a case worker in Detroit and the second was by a case worker in Texas who looked like a Mexican Barbie doll. Perfect hair and make-up, expensive looking jewlry. When I turned to leave, she actually laughed at me and made a comment about my mother. I may not speak Spanish out of pure spite BUT I do understand it and left absolutely NO doubt in her mind that I completely understood her and that if she wanted to trash talk me she could do it in English. The next time she trashed my mom, I would gladly go to jail.

many people in developing countries have successfully raised large numbers of kids... It is believed that children are wealth, These people do not regard materials as wealth but children.

Since most of them are farmers, It is believed that large families would work effectively together in a farm to support themselves...

also, due to raids & cattle rustlings from their enemies these people depend on the boys they raised for protection and help. the more kids one can raise the more protection & help he can get when need comes.

Plus the fact that abortion is illegal in these countries not to mention that most people cannot afford the birth control devices or their religions and traditions forbid their use...

A lot of them are catholic and don't believe or understand birth control. lol, We have enough american families that were born and raised here on welfare and live off the tax payers, it isn't government hand out, with out tax payers the government would be nothing, so we, the tax payers continue to support this way off life for hundreds of thousands of poor trashy people.

These people don't seem to care though because they aren't the ones having to support them, it is the rest of the country who has to take care of them (from feeding to health care). And if they haven't managed to get on the right track before a certain age, we have to continue to feed, clothe, educate, house and provide health care for them in the jails and prisons.

Suprisingly people with lower level of income, education and overall intellegence tend to have more children. And what pisses me of the mostis that they simply dont take care of their kids: if they have 15 of them and they lose 1 its not a big deal. Then they grow up to become criminals or losers but they still make more, cause they dont think. So we end up having more and more morons around.

Because they're stoopid? It is some race's intentions to over populate the country, so they can have the "strongest race", and outnumber every other race on the freakin planet, I think.
