1 bag or box vanilla wafers
4 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 lb. bananas (3 to 4 large)
2 c. scalded milk
2 eggs, separated
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. sugar for meringue

Mix flour, 1/2 cup sugar and salt in top of double boiler, slowly stir in hot milk and cook until mixture thickens, stirring constantly. Stir a little of hot mixture into beaten egg yolks, pour back into double boiler, cook about 2 more minutes.
Remove from heat, add vanilla and cool until just warm. Alternate layers of vanilla wafers, sliced bananas and pudding in a baking dish. Beat 2 egg whites until foamy, add 1/4 cup sugar gradually, beat until stiff. Pile lightly on pudding. Bake in hot 400 degree oven for about 8 minutes or until golden brown.

If your using the instant method use banana pudding mix. If making Banana pudding the traditional (OLD fashion) way please find a good recipe Using have on box of vanilla wafers, but, you may want to check the library and get a good detailed one.

When it says smidgen, pinch, dash, believe it or not they do make measuring spoons for those measurements.

Enjoy your banana pudding.

i believe your talking about bananna pudding.
vanilla wafers
2 small boxes instant bananna pudding /prepared
3banannas sliced
cool whip
you can adjust the amount according to how large a pudding you need.

line your bowl with whole vanilla wafers bottom and sides.
lay down some pudding to cover the wafers on the bottom.lay down a layer of bananna slices and then a layer of wafers/(I actually like to put crushed wafers here) but thats up to you.
repeat layers and top with cool whip before serving .
yummy stuff that ! ><>

BANANA PUDDING!!!!! One of my favorites! My gramma made the best home made banana pudding,I've ever eaten. I just don't like the meringue on it,though. My gramma made the pudding homemade with vanilla.
