bored and in the hospital waiting for a bone marrow transplant?

I am sooooo bored. I have been sitting in my room with nothing to do for a while now. I need some ideas on how to keep myself busy. ANY IDEAS? THANKS

Ask the nurse if there are any other patients your age and then play Uno or something with them. They are probably bored out of their skulls too.

First of all I DO wish you the very best....hang in there. You'll do great.....All my best wishes to you my friend.
I am a nurses aide in our hospital and I see lots of patients doing lots of thing. Most of were probably already mentioned to you, before me.
But while your in your uncomfortable bed.......sit in the most comfortable chair you have....Recline and relax....Catch up on t.v. use your computer all you can and enjoy that. SOME people like to bring in DVD's and watch movies they like...Either on your computer, or ask the hospital to let you connect a DVD player to the t.v. Our hospital will allow it long as their guys check it for wireing problems. Which if its in good shape of course you can use that.
Also, read some good books.....If you like to read. There are lots of cheap hand held games you can buy...Lots of fun too. But with your computer you can go to several game web sites. I love Literati on Yahoo and 1 versus 100.....Loads of fun there.
Always have puzzle books around and a good pen too.
Take a walk and ask if you can get out and go to the cafeteria for a change and eat something different. Go outside if you can and just get some REAL air.
Keep up witht henews events and weather.....talk with everyone youknow, and keep in touch with them....Don't go into a depression cause of the wait. Its important to you....and its WORTH that wait however long it takes.
Get a portable cd player so you can have your kind of music...
Make this stay a busy one where you do different things to keep your mind busy and to keep yourself from just thinking of things.....
But most of all keep the faith and a good possitive attitude will do wonders for you before and then also AFTER your recovery.....To start a whole new lease on life. Your very lucky, and suddenly the time will come for your surgery......
