You can either use your stovetop or your oven.

For stovetop, you can fry it in a skillet or use a nonstick pan to cut down on the grease.

In the oven, use the broiler or just bake them on a baking sheet.

Whatever method you use, don't forget to flip and make sure that you are using clean utensils to remove the cooked patties to a clean dish.

If you want to make sure your burgers are safely cooked, use a thermometer to make sure the center is at 160 degrees Fahrenheit.

I heard that the "George Foreman" grill can give good results, but it's another appliance that you would have to purchase if you don't already have one.

Buy a generic George Foreman Grill at walmart for like $20, it tastes fairly decent and is better than nothing.

Grill under the top element in the oven on a rack over a pan to catch the fat as it drips.
Or fry in a fry pan.

I use my skillet, with the heat on medium or med.-low. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook 5 minutes per side.

There is nothing better than patties on a grill, but you could put them on the skillet too.

I do mine on the stove in a skillet with olive oil. Season the burger patty with your favorite seasonings and cook. =)

Bake them in the oven on a broiler pan, this lets the fat drain away.

For me, you can fry the burger meat if you don't have the grill. Regarding the bread, you can put it in the toaster.
