It's never safe to assume chest pain could be heartburn or lung problems. Only a doctor can tell the difference between those issues and a heart problem. And heart problems don't always cause the same symptoms such a jaw pain or pain radiating down the arm. He should go to the ER and play safe!

Chest pain is a tricky thing. It could be indigestion, angina and /or heart attack. The symptoms of heart attack are not always the same and the ones you do read about are not sealed in stone.

If this becomes persistant have him see a doctor for a check up.

You don't always have pain in the arm and jaw when there are heart problems. Best to go to the Dr. or urgent care. Better safe than sorry.

first thing anyone with chest pain that they think there is even a slight chance of heart problems is too take an aspirin.
chew it . if he has heartburn then get some tums or Rolaids.
could be other things to but take the aspirin for sure.

I had this happen a lot last year. They told me it was acid reflux, although it was the only symptom I ever had and it was so random that it would occur. Sounds like he could be suffering from the same thing. Mine eventually just stopped.
