Is this bird feathered or bald? If it is feathered it has already left the nest and is being raised by it's parents....you need to put it back where you found it and let the parents continue to feed it until it learns how to fly. This is a normal process. The parents could be looking for their baby right now. If the bird has no feathers than it most likely fell out of the nest. You need to see if you can locate the nest nearby and if so, replace the bird into it. If you canno find the nest, you need to get the bird to a wildlife rehab in your area. It is very difficult to hand fed and raise a baby bird...even with experience. They can die very easily...even giving them water can drown them unless you know what you are doing. Please do not attempt to raise this bird on your own.

At this time of year, people often bring baby animals into the surgery thinking they are orphaned - and we ask them to take them straight back where they found them! Often the parents aren't far away - they do have to leave occasionally to get food you know.

Baby birds don't tend to shut up. They're asking for food, or which they require a lot of - more than the occasional worm. It might be best to take the bird to a veterinary surgery or animal rescue to give it the best chance of survival, unless you can be with it pretty much all the time. You're doing as much as you can I think.

Please leave any baby animals you find in future, unless they're obviously injured. It might be termed kidnapping otherwise!

um call ur local petstore to see if they have bird formula. keep it under a lamp and make sure it is going to the bathroom regularly. if it has feathers it has a good chance of making it however if it doesn't it might die despite what you do. Hope it lives but make sure it stays warm especially at night.

You could give it to a bird specialist or if you are attached to it you can get a book about birds to help you.

Find a wildlife rescue and take the bird to them!
Do a google search for 'wildlife rehab' and your city...
It is illegal to keep the baby bird.

Also you can try to contact a veteranarian and ask them who the closest wildlife rehab is.
