The only reason I can think of is that controlling people have to find ways of being artifically uprighteous.

When people talked about premarital sex being a sin, marriage pretty much followed a woman's reaching sexual maturity like a rainbow follows rain. It just never meant all that much until people started putting off marriage for 10 or 15 years. Times change, morals for the rest of society have changed, only fundamentalists are stuck in that world.

Its not evil at all, the most that can happen from having any sort of sex, is either getting an std, or getting pregnant (if girl), other than getting pleasure from it. But sex is a ttally normal biological need that both humans and animals share for the survival f the species. Sex was not meant to cause evil in any manner.

Whether it's inherently evil will depend on who you ask. The thing everybody can agree on is the potential consequences especially disease and unwanted pregnancy.

New story in today's paper is that antibiotic resistant gonorrhea is through the roof, especially among meth using kids and queers. When the bug becomes resistant to the antibiotics currently available it will be a big problem because there are no better drugs being developed.

Cause in marriage you have the entire family around you checking out the entire family of the other person, looking into background events, trying to find something that would stop the woman from having sex with the man in the comfort of their own home.

So, that minimizes the likelihood of acquiring fast sex and fast disease.

And if people dont have sex outside marriage, everyone knows exactly who everyone sleeps that helps alot healthwise and progeny wise: man knows his kids are his.

FYI

Also, marriage is meant for you to hold on to the responsibility of sleeping with someone, and making your sexual habits more regularized and maintained on a single partner

I know for a fact that the bible is against pre-marital sex... I really don't recall what verses it appears, but let me try to explain the gist of it... Well, sex is preserved for the ONE you love and will marry. Sex is a gift from GOD... When a couple has sex, their souls will actually become one... for an instant... Their souls mix and mesh together... when the souls part again, they retain some of the sin/good of their lover's soul... So if you keep the sex pure, as it was intended, then the two souls involved will remain pure. Think about it physically now... It's the same concept. Imagine sleeping with a prostitute... Your body becomes one with her... for an instant... and becoming one with a prostitute, you are susceptible to STD's and HIV...

The god of the bible is completely obsessed with sex. Who knows why. There is no evil in premarital sex. The entire concept of sin is without merit.

Sex when just that can trap a person, rather then love.God forbides this before marriage to help people from becoming tied together with a person for the wrong reasons. Its not to punish but to prevent much pain. When 2 engage in sex it is spiritual as well as physical. One gets soul ties, and if the relationship ends they both usually end up in deep pain.Gods for sex he created it.One if they are in God really does try to please God,they are not trying to muster up some self righteous thing.

Sex between two consenting adults has never been evil, religions only say that there's something wrong with it so they can make a buck or two off of gullible people. Marriage means absolutely nothing in the animal kingdom and very few animals mate for life. I don't see any proof that human beings are one of those animals that do.

Yup. Some people have entirely too much interest in what others are doing sexually. It's like morally upstanding pornography. Insteading of getting physical satisfaction from watching others have sex, it's getting moral satisfaction from controlling the sex lives of others.

Sex outside of marriage makes marriage less meaningful. This close relationship should be shared only by a man and wife, and it is one of the many things that bonds them together as "one flesh".

When you have sex with others, when you are married there is the tendancy to compare your spouse to others you have "had". No spouse should have to compete with the memories of others. Such weakens the bond of husband and wife!

That's one more thing that makes their relationship not special and unique.

"Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit." (1 Corinthians 6:15-17)

"Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband." (1 Cor 7:2)
