No, it's only Adnanic Arabs that are descendants of Ishmael, while the Jews are from Isaac.
Adnanic Arabs are offspring of Ishmael and Kahtani Arab tribes from Yaman who settled in Makkah.
Ishmael (Ismail a.s.) was the son of Abraham and his slave wife Hajara, while Sarah was Abraham's first wife but they had not have children until Isaac was born. Due to Sarah's jealousy, Abraham brought Hajar to desert and left her there under the shade of a palm tree with baby Ishmael, while Abraham returned to Palestine. Occasionally Abraham would visit his wife and child in Makkah. Once God told Abraham to sacrifice his son Ishmael but God replaced him with a ram.
When Ishmael grew up he married a woman from tribe Jurhum. Abraham visited his son, but the latter wasn't at home so he ask his wife how do they leave. Ishmael's wife complained about poverty and Abraham left a message for his son to change his doorstep. Ishmael got the message and divorced his wife. Then he married a daughter of Mudad ibn Amr of Jurhum. In a similar incient Abraham asked his daughter-in-law how they live and she thanked God for everything. He left a message for his son to reinforce the doorstep.
Next time they met after a long time and they rebuilt Ka'bah together.
Ishmael had 12 sons and they were: Nabit, Kaidar, Adbeel, Mibsham, Mishma, Duma, Misha, Hadad, Jetma, Jethur, Nafis and Kaidaman. They later divided into 12 tribes of which only people of Kaidar remained in Makkah. Adnan was one of the descendats of Kaidar...

We believe that Arabs are descendants of Ishmael. Not Muslims hon.
And yes Jews are among those descendant from Isaac.
Both Isaac and Ishmael were prophets according to the Quran. Because God gave Abraham a promise to make his progeny beneficial for mankind.
We do not however, feel that theres a saviour that should have come from one of them. Both Isaac and Ishmael are equally important and strong personas in Islam.
Both ended up having beautiful children.
When I found out that Jews and Christians disrespect Ishmael, while respecting Isaac on the side, I felt confused at first because when they taught us in school. They were both men of God and God did not give Abraham, bad progeny.

Isaac and Ishmael are both sons of Abraham who God used to start the Jewish nation. Isaac was born to Sarah, the Jewish and legitimate wife of Abraham. Ishmael was born to Haggai, an Arab servant of Abraham's. Ishamel was born first because Abraham did not believe God's promise that he and his wife Sarah would have a child due to their age so they brought in Haggai. Then Sarah did get pregnant and had Isaac. The bible says that even though Isaac is the child of promise through whom the Jewish nation would bring the light of the Lord to all nations, Ishmael would still be blessed and become the father of a great nation, which the Arab nations are. The bible makes it very clear that Isaac is the chosen child by God (not better or more loved by God, but the chosen son to fulfill his purpose). The Arabs (Muslims) do not accept that and I believe claim that Ishmael was born first and the oldest, he is the chosen vessel. Hope that helped a little.

Ishmael is the ancestor of Arabs, including Prophet Muhammad. i've got self assurance in Islamic custom, we use patrilineality lineage, so it ability Muhammad (and likewise the Arabs) are the descendants of Ishmael and Abraham. We have self assurance that It replaced into Ishmael (and not Isaac) that replaced into to be sacrificed. and consistent with annum muslims remind that 2nd in Aidul Adha. Ishmael and Isaac have been prohets, alongside with Jacob, Joseph (son of Jacob), Moses, Aaron, David, Solomon, interest, John The Baptist and Jesus.

Abraham and Sarah were married but had no children into old age. Although God had promised them children, Sarah did not want to wait any longer and gave her maidservant Hagar to Abraham. He then fathered Ishmael. Sarah did become pregnant and had Isaac. Because Sarah did not want Ishmael to be the heir, she convinced Abraham to send away Hagar and her son. He did, but with a heavy heart. Hagar and Ishmael had a rough journey and found themselves starving and without water. She prayed to God who then provided for them and promised her that her son will turn into a great nation (Arab). He also promised Abraham that he will be the father of a great nation through Isaac and so on ( Jews). Muhammed, the founder of Islam is a descendant of Ishmael.

Muslims believe Ishmael was the one nearly sacrificed by Abraham, rather than Isaac as it says in the Bible.

Ishamel was the son of Abraham and Hagar. Abraham, who was called Abram at the time, did not wait for God to give him a son. He went and laid with Hagar and Hagar became pregnant and later gave birth to Ishmael. An angel appeared to Hagar and told her to name the baby Ishamel because he and his descendents would fight against their brothers and they still are today because the Jews are descended from Isaac who was the son of Abraham and his wife Sarah. Isaac was the son God promised to Abraham and Ishmael was a product of sin.

He is the excuse that their leader was given by the Catholics to start a new religion that would conquer Jerusalem and bring it to the Pope of the Day on a silver platter but it backfired!
This doesn't mean that Ishmael wasn't the son of Abraham as you say he was as told in the Bible but what transpired after has nothing to do with that... How could you believe it at this point? of course you can't!!! Dig! and you'll find out more stuff you don't want to believe. That won't make them more false than what you have already been fed... I'm sorry but the truth often hurts at first!

All I know is that he was born and the Arabs descended from him. If he was a prophet, I sure didn't see that in the bible, but apparently Mohammed made up quite a bit of stuff. Makes sense though, since he wanted to be a prophet, and you really had to be a Jew to be a prophet, I suppose you'd have to put something extra in there in order to qualify for that role.

Ishmael is the father of Islam and they believe themselves to be the heirs of the promised land b/c of Ishmael being the first born of Abraham. yet, God told Abraham to release the woman and child (Hagar & Ishmael) b/c He was not the son of the covenant.
