I thought it was where if I admired them or I liked what they did. If a guy imitates a girl or vice versa, or when I used to imitate my mom who I admired very much. Just to get others opinions. A guy friend, not a boyfriend, has kind of imitated me.

Sometimes, people's little quirks are very easy to pick up, especially if you have respect for the person. Other times, you may not like the person so much, per se, but something they do just rings true with your character.

I have long studied the guitar methods of Chet Atkins and applied them to my own way of playing. I admired greatly his accomplishments and astounding ways he had mastered the instrument.

He was a very private man, dying in June 2001, with only his family and certain guitarists knowing him well.

So, yes, I copied Chet because I admired his ability on the guitar.

you only admire the success and acheivement of that particular person but you never admire the person in that case,if you see a same habbit of any unsucessful person that you will never think of imitate that habit,so this means you admired achievement.
like if any actor wears torn jeans ,people says it's a fashion but if same jeans an ordinary and not good looking person wears then people says that he is trying to become smart.

Yes, definitely they admire your style. I am copying someone else's style too, but not too obviously or they won't like it.
