Yes, absolutely. Spiritual simply means being in tune with things that enhance your spirit, your soul, your inner self, whatever you want to call it. It is not dependent upon a belief in any supernatural being.

It depends. The definition of an Atheist is

a person who denies or disbelieves the existence of a supreme being or beings.

So in a sense yes. Atheist leaves many spirituality's open like belief in things such as karma and reincarnation.

There are diffrent kinds of atheists such as Materialistic Atheists who rely on seeing is believing.

Personally i dont care to have all the answers... I'm fine just asking the questions.

yahoosians - nice

Yeah, I think I am to a point. I believe there are other realms of existence, I have never seen any proof they can contact us or vice-versa

There are no doubt realms of existence, or consciousness that are not physical, or at least not like this. Once again , I haven't seen any proof of contact, nor do I have proof they exist, I just figure if we exist, there are other places of existence.

I don't let it rule my life, it's just a thought, an idea

I am an atheist...

while i cannot and do not believe in a personal god, i can believe in the greater power of the universe at large to direct our lives...

that is to say, the universe is god (small g)...

but this does not mean that the bible, koran, torah, heaven, hell, nirvana, reincarnation, enlightenment, jesus, budda, mohammed, moses, zeus, baal, yawei, or allah hold real truth--i will grant the golden rule and hundreds of wonderful tales on living a decent life... but real truth as to the nature of creation... never.

imagine for a moment, a being capable of understanding simultaneously every moment of time, every action of every creature ever to have existed or to exist, the movement of every one of the quadrillions of celestial bodies for all of eternity, a being in fact capable of the creation of it all in the complete and total knowledge of where it all ends up....

and yet a being who holds no interest in any other part of that creation than our own tiny dust like speck of a planet...

every religion would have you believe that is the one in charge of the whole ball of wax.

i prefer to believe that god is a set of rules that can be understood, if only we listen, look, and carefully observe the operation of the universe we live in...

can i be spiritual...

you tell me... can I?

Of course...

"Spirituality", or respect for the unknown, is not precuded by a basic belief that it is not "unknowable"; most atheists, when pressed, will admit to really being fundementally agnostic (ie no proof exists that indicates there are any "deities"). Some will affirm their confidence there is no "god"/are no "gods", but that does not mean they cannot still appreciate the self-apparent division between physical-self and "self-self"...

I think "Yes!" Atheist, agnostic, infidel, skeptic refer to persons not inclined toward religious belief or a particular form of religious belief. An atheist is one who denies the existence of a deity or of divine beings. An agnostic is one who believes it impossible to know anything about God or about the creation of the universe and refrains from commitment to any religious doctrine. Infidel means an unbeliever, especially a nonbeliever in Islam or Christianity. A skeptic doubts and is critical of all accepted doctrines and creeds.

Can horses live outside the Earth?
In my opinion, YES. This is because since God is resolute enough not to appear to us, she or he has to steal a horse at night to ride it on the moon or Jupiter and since I havent heard any story relating a lost horse, God must be bringing them back in the early morning. So we cant say for sure that God is a horse thief but we can say that horses can live outside the Earth. This is because no one finds his or her horses' corpses in the mornings.... This story must give us many clues about the universe and God's nature. God is not a FREAK creature at all.

Atheist's by definition only deny that there is any positive and certain proof of A higher being (god), They don't deny his existence, so theoretically an atheist could be a spiritual person. Agnostics on the other hand absolutely deny the existence of any type of god...making it very difficult for them to live any type of spiritual life.

Buddhism is not a form of Atheism. Argh.

Yahoosian should be spelt with a capital Y! I am shocked at this slippage...sigh.

My answer would be yes, maybe, individual, play by play.

Peace and open minds!
