There is only one thing you can do my friend, and that is joining Jesus in heaven as soon as possible.

What were you previous to your conversion, a monster? If you had no sense of morality then I certainly doubt you've gained it now. How can you gain something you don't know? What, did Jesus implant a chip into your brain when he came down in his flying saucer?

How do you know its only European men in Thailand raping little girls? How about the American priests and little boys? Oh, wait... right, that happens in EVERY country. It's not just Europeans in Thailand. Also, raping female children seems to come highly recommended in your Bible. You even get to make the kid your wife! AND get silver! Oh, wait... there WAS no such thing as silver currency then, was there? And the currency then was minted, not measured. Strange, the contradictions.

But not nearly as strange as you suddenly becoming this wonderful person because you "got" religion. Don't you realize that the traits you are speaking of are applicable for all of humanity? Why convert? Why not just live those morals & values as a humanist and reclaim your control over your own life and actions?

Well, you should probably go back to being what ever you were before. Caring for the hungry and sick are not traits that God himself holds highly: Evidence, the multiple places on earth where children are born into poverty and starvation. God and Jesus do not like gays, and consider them an abomination to be put to death via stone projectiles. As for children being raped by European men? Well, if they're girls, then God says the rapist has to keep the girl as his wife and pay the girls father some silver because he damaged the father's property. By the way, Christ is not christ, he's several versions of Mithras and Horus conglomerated into one mythological being that was promoted by the winners of the many wars in the Mediterranean. But good luck waiting for Jesus to solve those problems you mentioned. He doesn't seem to like getting involved in human affairs since they beat him and hung from that tree.

Join the club, I own nothing cause I gave it all away, Following Jesus I will always be poor, be used and be happy, go figure.

I am not afraid to die, or have nothing to wear or eat, I gave up a $35 thousand a year job as a plumber, my home , my children. I have not had sex since 2002 and I don't miss it.

I live in my Van, and I gave my life to follow Jesus and to do the work of him that sent me. For my time has not yet come.

Jesus seems to affect different people in contrary ways such that each accuse the other of having a false Jesus.

It's possible, just possible, that in your conversion process you saw this as an opportunity to be someone you've always known you should be, and the epihane of conversion has given you the emotional courage to be that person. Because I know a ot of people that Jesus hasn't motivated to compassion, whcih tends to make me think that the compassion comes from your belief about what's virtuous, not from the religion per se.

And BTW, I believe Jesus would recognize his teachings in your concerns. After all, they didn't really put him to death for claiming to be the Son of God. You don't execute a man for making nutty claims. They put him to death for the Beattitudes, for preaching the Kingdom of Heaven as a model for social justice on Earth and for "Woe unto you, Scribes and Pharisees!" You kill a man for threatening the social order. So watch your back friend.

What do you do? Go out an ruin someone elses life by introducing them to Jesus and his true teachings - not the negative hype, but his real message - LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

When everyone on the earth's lives have been "ruined" by Jesus the world will be a much better place where people care about others more than themselves.

Jesus ruins no one's life|

If our lives are ruined, we did it to ourselves|

Let me tell you something about charity|

It is not about doing all these good deeds just so that you can feel good about yourself as a do-gooder and impress everyone else about how good you are|

That is not love|

Love is caring for the other person as another self - to will the same happiness that you want for yourself - and that is all that our judgment before the Lord will consist of - after all, did He not say that love is the fulfillment of the law?

If you love (and that is love in the *true* sense), you will not fornicate, use contraceptives, engage in homosexual acts, commit adultery, and that sort of thing because those things are not love but are using another person for your own selfish purposes| Love is purely caring for the other person for her sake, even if you get nothing out of it - so there - it is not to be confused with all this fake do-goodism going around which is just selfishness in disguise| So many of our churches are now into that sort of thing and it is absolutely disgusting to our Lord| Jesus had the strongest words for people who do that, saying that they do their good deeds just to be seen and that they have had their reward already| The same thing applies today, but perhaps in a different form|

Wow, I've been a Peace Corps Volunteer for two and a half years in one of the poorest countries in Asia, helping people. I volunteer now helping poor Latinos in the US. I've dedicated my life to working for the environment and giving people a decent planet to live on. I donate 1% of my income to charity and I do all of these things as an Atheist.

It's called COMPASSTION. These things have been going on for a long time but you didn't care what the outcome would be. Jesus didn't ruin your life. He let you care for others. Who says you can't live for yourself? Sounds to me that you are still thinking about yourself and not focusing on the tasks that God has given you. Pray about it if you are a Christian. : )

you live for yourself, but as second priority: "love your neighbour as yourself". taking a break isn't a heartless thing to do. by "break", I mean you doun't have to be the ultimate humanitarian 24/7. Don't quit on Christ, or just say "let 'em die", but just relax and have some non-sinful fun now and then.
