Yes if you got your tonsils removed you can still get strep throat. But it is less likley. But it can still happen.

usually when u get ur tonsils removed....
ur throat hurts so bad that strep throat is the least of ur worries
but it is still possible to catch strep after a tonsil removal

it is possible to still get strep throught because my girlfriend had her tonsils removed when she was about 12 and every now and then she get step throught but as bad as when she had her tonsils

Strep throat is caused by streptococcus and can happen whether you have tonsils or not.
