Should do what? I don't think anything short of clinical depression, personal injury or irrevocable loss could cause him to come looking for me. Not when he's dated the girls who surpass me 5 times in every arena of life.

why would he express interest if he wasn't attracted? you are looking at this all backwards hon. Stop being so down on yourself.

He is expressing interest because the other girls he has dated don't provide him the nurturing, caring emotions that he is in need of. These girls do not surpass you five times in any arena of life, no one surpasses any one in the arena of life, we are individuals. Perhaps he has been attracted to you the entire time but his vanity, self confidence and ignorance to propel you to feel jealous so he can feel like he is "The Man."
However, it has back fired and may realize that "Eye Candy" is not a substitute for "Sweetness." Maybe these girls in the past dumped him because they felt he didn't measure up to them. And knowing that he sees you are the type that feels compassion and truly care about people, NOW he wants to see if he can take advantage of what he thinks you have and that is low self esteem, according to his view. I say don't throw him or his ego a life preserver in this arena of life, save yourself from being taken advantage of and getting hurt. He is trying to be the lifesaver, like the candy; he may be sweet and colorful but there is a big hole in the middle.

In which way do they surpass you?...Is it looks, brains, talent, what?...Perhaps that's just your own personal thoughts... Maybe, just maybe he sees something else in you that the other girls lack. Perhaps you're more compassionate?... Maybe more mature? ... Or maybe you are real... Who knows. Don't judge yourself according to the standards of others, we can't be somebody else, we can only be ourselves, and I'll bet you have a lot of good qualities that you maybe don't know you have...Don't be so hard on yourself. If a guy has dated girls 5 times better than you, at least in your eyes, but then decides he's interested in you, he must see something there...

How can you compare yourself to anyone??You are unique and have something charismatic that will attract the people that see who you really are,and want that something about you,that they are searching for.You are also saying these girls surpass you...that you don't really know [lots of people pretend]....many cover-up all their garbage,and play the game.If you feel unworthy...then most people will treat you like that.Write down all you really like about yourself...you aren't an assembly line project...God doesn't make mistakes...

i think u should get some self esteem and know that ur probably are attractive and have a good personality. Have confidence guys like that...dont doubt anything about urself and screw him if he ends up not liking u..u could do soo much with just a boost of confidence

maybe he wants to make himself feel better, it's good for his ego that one more girl likes him and since you feel sorry fo everybody etc etc you seem to be the perfect "victim". But, personally, I think that he is definitely attracted to you!! And you shouldn't care about other girls that he use to like, cause 1] you are not the one to judge since it's yourself included
2] people change and maybe now he is looking for something different and
3] maybe you are 100 times better than them in areas that you didn't think and matter to him ;o)
