take hamburger, mix with eggs and crackers. Enough that the hamburger sticks together. Pour garlic powder, salt, onion powder, and pepper until you can smell the seasoning very strongely. Add onions if desired. Mix thoroughly. Form into balls. Brown on all sides in a frying pan, so that all sides are brown. Drain juices and then add speghetti sauce simmer meatballs for about 15 minutes. Meatballs with cook the rest of the way in the speghetti sauce.

Use a mixture of ground veal, beef, and pork. Add some Italian bread crumbs. 2 Eggs if you have two pounds of meat. Some garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, and some Italian seasonings. Mix all together but dont overmix as you will have hard meatballs. I dont cook mine before I add them to the sauce. They turn out real tender if you add them to your sauce raw. Do not stir your sauce until the meatballs are cooked some or they will fall apart. If you like spicy, add some crushed red pepper to the mix. These are truly the best meatballs. Good luck!!

By the way the meatballs do not lose their taste when cooked raw in the sauce. They keep their flavor if seasoned right and they also give a great taste to the sauce.

1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
1/3 cup water (more or less)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 medium onion
garlic
salt
pepper
PREPARATION:
Mix all ingredients together. Don't add all of the water at one time. Mixture should be moist but not so that the meatballs fall apart.
Shape meatballs to desired size and place on a broiler pan (I wet my hands before shaping each meatball and it helps make a nice meatball.) Broil until outside is slightly brown on one side and then turn and broil the other side.
When finished, add to spaghetti sauce and simmer at least 20 minutes

I use a meatloaf recipe. Beef, egg, bread crumbs, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, chopped up onion. I also bake them instead of frying them. I do 50 to 60 at a time and them put them in the freezer and take them out as needed. This also a really fast way to make meatball sandwiches. I use the meatballs, some spaghetti sauce, cheese and put them on hot dog buns. Happy cooking. Hope this helped.

The Best Meatball Recipe

Can be prepared in 45 minutes or less.

Ingredients

1 pound combined beef, veal, pork (must be fresh)
3 large eggs
1 cup grated Romano Locatelli Cheese
1 cup bread crumb
1 clove garlic - minced
1 tablespoon salt

Preparation

(All mixing is done be hand)
In a large bowl mix beef/veal/pork with eggs. Then add bread crumb, cheese, and salt. Finally add minced garlic in stages. Add a little then mix. Add some more, then mix. This way all the garlic does not end up in one meatball. Now, it's time to roll up the balls. Average size is roughly 2 inches in diameter. I usually get around 18 to 20 meatballs per pound.

IMPORTANT! Do not cook meatballs in your pasta sauce! Meatballs cooked in sauce loose their flavor. The real key to a tasty meatball is cooking the them in an oven. So, heat oven to 375. Place meatballs on a rack - then on a cookie tray.

Bake for 12 minutes on one side then 10 minutes for the other.

I freeze the meatballs in bags and take out what I need per dinner. I just drop the meatballs into the sauce as if heats up.

well you have the "basic ingredients" like meat, bread crumbs, 1 egg per pound of meat, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix together (don't over mix it will make the meat tough) and set aside. (remember that you need to add enough seasonings I typically do 1/2 teaspoon of pepper, 1 teaspoon of salt and garlic powder)

You can take and saute onions and about 3 small cloves of garlic depending on how much you like it and add it to the mix above and mix just enough to blend ingredients and take make balls.

Put a pan on stove and get it hot with nothing in it. A number 10 cast iron frying pan works well. after it is hot add about a quarter cup of oil (your choice) and sear them on all sides ( a nice brown crust) then take and you can leave them in the cast iron pan or put them in a baking pan and put them in the oven for about 20 min at 400 degrees F depending how big they are. Don't be scared to cut them open and look.

I hope this works. Sometimes I will put them in the sauce but then you have a "run" of flavors.

I generally cook by my tastes for the time, I'll just give you my general recipe.
1 pound of Ground Beef
1/4 cup of cracker crumbs mixed with some spices (your choice)
1 raw egg (helps the meatballs keep their shape
1 healthy splash of worcestire sauce.
mix together and form into desirable size bearing in mind that they shrink a little in the oven.

mix your 1 pound of ground beef with 1/4 cup bread crumbs and 1/4 cup of oat meal.
Add one egg, salt and pepper to taste (about 1/2 teasoon will do it for each, maybe less for your first time). Garlic powder and parsely to taste and maybe just a touch of italian seasoning. Mix in a little onion, or dried onion if you like also.
mix well.
Add about 1/4 cup of water to the frying pan and cover it.
The steam will keep them moist.
After you turn them, leave the lid off.
Good luck

definite - and that they are greater desirable than employing a gaggle of bread filler!! Get a very good high quality lean hamburger and roll the beef into the dimensions balls which you want to make (be confident to salt and pepper the beef earlier than making the meatballs). positioned approximately 2 TBSP of Crisco oil in a huge skillet and approx. a million/4 cup of water. convey warmth up till the blend is boiling. place the meatballs heavily into the oil/water blend and prepare dinner till the meatballs are cooked. you will might desire to roll them gently as they prepare dinner to make confident they prepare dinner frivolously. whilst they are completed, eliminate them heavily from the skillet and place on a blotting towel to eliminate extra oil (if required). I many times take them from here and incorporate them into my dish alongside with spaghetti or pasta. it truly is going to take greater meat, however the flavour is lots more suitable from those employing bread crumbs.

1/2 lb ground beef or veal 1/2lb ground pork , 1 large egg, seasoned bread brumbs (1 cup or so), 1/3 cup parmesan, 1 large onion diced, 1 tablespoon italina seasoning, 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsely.
