You need to speak to your doctor about proper nutrition if you're very large. 100 calories a day isn't realistic and you'll get sick if you think you can eat that little. I'm currently losing weight and I eat around 1,200 calories a day while I exercise for 30 minutes each day. Do you know what finally made me do it? I was tired of being overweight and my clothes fitting tight. I had enough. It's hard work and I absolutely hate exercising, but it's working. I've lost 25 pounds so far and I'm not done yet. You have to have the determination to do this and know that it's not going to happen overnight. Good luck.

NO WAY!!!!!! Actually, it is MUCH too little! People need at least 1000-2000 calories a day! If you only eat one hundreed calories a day, then your body will put itself into starvation mode, and you will not lose weight, you will only stay the same, if not gain; so all you have to do is eat a balanced diet. Calories are not the worst thing out there for you. Just watch out for extra carbs and sugars. Try to find one food you like a lot that is healthy for you, and make sure you eat it every time you have a craving for "junk food"; if you are conserned about your weight. Another thing, I hope you are trying to lose weight for the right reasons. :)

a hundred calories just isn't enough for your body to get through the day and maintain a healthy body. 2,000 calories a day is great if you can do that. 1,500 is even better. I lost almost 30 pounds in a month by staying at 1,500 calories a day. I would eat a special k bar for breakfast and lean cuisine's for lunch and dinner. Buy foods that are low in calories and stay away from pop and sugary foods. Always eat 3 meals a day but eat light. Olive oil is better to cook with than any other oil, its also very flavorful. Be sure and drink lots off water that's what gets the fat that you lose out of your body.
GOOD LUCK! HOPE I HELPED!

I'm hoping that 100 is a typo and that you meant to ask about 1000 calories. If that's the case, no, 1000 calories a day is not too much. In fact, it may be too little. When your body believes its starving(which usually occurs at under 1200 calories/day), it begins to lower its metabolism and do whatever it can to hold onto its fat stores. I would recommend seeing a doctor or nutritionist in order to find an effective way to raise your metabolism.

If you were genuinely asking if 100 calories a day is too much, then I would definately recommend seeing a doctor. 100 calories a day is low enough to kill you. Even though you say you are overweight, you're malnourished and unhealthy if you're eating that little.

Either way, your best bet is to see a doctor and discuss this problem with him or her.

You're doing pretty good by only eating 100 calories a day. Starting on Monday and ending on Saturday don't eat any fried or greasy hamburgers and fries. And absolutely do NOT eat at Mcdonalds. There's stuff about that place that you don't want to know. It's very unhealthy. That's why you see large people walk into that place. Try eating more fruits and vegetables and try to work out for an hour daily.
Hope this helps!
Good luck!

100 calories a day is NOT sufficient. Your body will go into a starvation mode and as soon as you stop dieting, all the weight will come back even more. The best way is to never eat more than the size of your fist at a time. Eat more often if you need to but not more than a fist. Then exercise as much as you can. Bicycle, swim, go for walks, run whatever you like to do. But you absolutely MUST see your doctor FIRST prior, and ask his/her advice and if you should have any limitations. DOCTOR FIRST

WHAT?! TOO MUCH? way too little, even when dieting you need AT LEAST 1000 calories. Between 1100-1500 is what you should try and go for. If you are "very large" try cutting what you normally eat in 3/4, and then after 2-3 weeks cut it in half. Make sure to eat healthy things, and eat lots of fruit and vegetables. DON'T FORGET CARDIO! 20 minutes of walking a day.

You have to consume calories to burn calories, sounds wierd, but if you don't your metabolism will shut down and go into starvation mode. Lets just assume your around 200 lbs, i really have no idea here. Your body naturally will expend around 2500 calories a day just thru normal organ function and what not. If you want to lose weight, drop your calories to about 1800 a day and add in some exercise, which also boosts your metabolism. Gotta keep that metabolism burnin to lose weight

No less than 1,200 calories a day. Less than that, you are starving and your body shuts down. It will hold on to all stored calories a fat to protect your vital organs.
Exercise. Exercise, exercise, exercise. If you don't get out and walk briskly for an hour every day, you won't lose very much weight--even if you are eating all the right things and the right portions.

To lose weight you must not only cut calories but you should move -- that includes walking around the block, swimming at your local Y or whatever. 100 calories a day isn't enough to sustain you. You wouldn't want to cut all your calories at once anyway -- you have to cut back sensibly. Try your local Weight Watchers or their website at WeightWatchers.com. They have LOTS of free recipes and suggestions. Good luck on your weight loss.
