Why do we insist on worshiping a God who leaves us broke, homeless and/or dead at the side of the street?

If God created us, then wouldn't it be fitting for him to constantly stay at our sides and aid us with love? Think of the relationship you've had or are having with your parents, your creators, do they abandon you when you are down?

The only people who still believe in god are the ones who don't want to take responsibility for anything in life......just say it's god's will and you don't have to work to change anythig in your life.

If man takes 1 step towards God, God will take 100 steps
toward man. God never finds fault with man, it is always man that finds fault with God. God worships man 24 hours a day. yet man worships God 1 day a week. Gods treasury is always full but man is always overdrawing his own personal account, this is not Gods fault! God provides a home even for the ant, under the bark of many trees. Even the bird that we call the robin thanks God for the food it has received several times a day. Man is forgetful, God never forgets.
When clouds form and a storm sets in we say to ourselves,
the sun has stopped shining, yet above the clouds the sun continues to shine. It is possible for a rich man to really be poor, and it is possible for a poor man to really be rich. Is it possible that we live in a world of illusion, and don't see things as they really are? On a biblical note, Jesus said, "The first shall be last, and the last shall be first." A very interesting
statement to say the least. Prayer without expectation is something that humans find difficult to understand. God knows our needs, and God also knows when we are able
to accept these needs with an open heart. Last but not least
we need patience, strong patience. The lack of patience is the primary reason that some of these needs never become manifest. This one is a tough one to grasp, but God has never abandoned anyone!!!

God didn't spend our money foolishly, God didn't get us addicted to drugs, God didn't make us alcoholics, God didn't make us hate one another. God doesn't take our homes from us. God doesn't put us out in the street. We do that to ourselves, and when one is so inclined, we do these things to others. God is a Deity, not a person. It is our own responsibility to care for one another. God didn't make us selfish, or teach us to turn up our noses at those less fortunate than we are. Many times, we don't even realise how much more fortunate we are than so many others. When we finally stop looking for someone to blame for all the **** that happens in the world, and start doing something to counter it as much as we can, then ask the question again. At thins point you're starting a pointless and endless argument.

You need to stop worshipping false gods.
The true God, the one and only God maker of Heaven and earth NEVER abandons those who love Him and follow Him. He is our shepherd, and we are the sheep of His pasture (those who are saved in Him)
Hebrews 13:5 (to believers)
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

My God will never leave or forsake you. He is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. Because we suffer does not mean that God is not there with us. He is the fourth man in the fire.

Grace and Peace

this is an age old question...

first of all...are our problems really God's fault???? no. but often we are too self centered and can only deal with the frustration by looking to blame God.

secondly, if God allowed a sinless man to be hated and crucified...there is probably a reason for your suffering as well

but no one ever cares about that...they only care about getting rid of their problems....

if you didnt know pain...you would not know happiness..

We do not do God a favor by worshiping Him. We do ourselves a favor! Without God we will self destruct. We are not robots and our parents have not succeeded in making us do the right things. We must acknowledge God and let Him protect us from ourselves.

Sounds like you are wondering why God has abandoned you. Ask Him why. He can handle all your anger, emotions, feelings, thoughts you have about Him. He will reveal Himself to you.
