by evil pricing at asda i know its cheap, too cheap just think of all the producers asda source their food from - what a bum deal they must get, seeing as supermarkets take most of the profits.

I like Sainsburys best too. When Asda and all that say they are cheaper, they are in a few things, but its only 2p difference usually, and the stuff Sainsburys sells is much better quality and better for you =) I like the try something new today thing too, and the wheel of health.

Morrisons.

They're a proper supermarket, they aren't pretentious enough to think they can be a clothing store at the same time. They have the High Street with real fishmongers and real butchers and real bakers.

It's within walking distance.

I used to like Sainsbury's but the Sunderland one changed, it looks like a warehouse now.

Never liked Asda, no bogofs and it's too .... green, I only wear green when I'm forced to, like when I go to work - it's the colour of my uniform (no I don't work for Asda), I was also in Stratford House at school which was the green house. Of course, to have a blue or red (my favourite colours) oval round the depiction of the Torrens, I would have had to have been in Harwell or Runnimede and Stratford was way and above those two. We all looked down on yellow little Everest.

I love Asda, the meat only comes from farms that Asda know the source. The food is of a high quality and low priced. The "smartprice" items if you ask comes from all the major producers of food, so it's only the packaging you are paying for if you buy a branded name. You should open your eyes to this when paying extortionate prices at Sainsburys.

Sainsburys as I love the layout of the Stores and the smell of freshly baked bread from the Bakery section. Plus those Bagettes are to die for especially with Taste the difference prawns in with a dash of Mayonaise amd spread with Flora.
Feel hungary now

I see you're in the UK by the way you spell favorite. I'm here in the US and live in Florida and our most popular grocery store is called Publix. It's where I shop because it's the closest to my house. They have real buy one get one free sales where they don't mark up the price before the sale. You really get one free. Their bakery is always voted as the number one bakery in the whole city.. outranking the local bakeries. The produce is the freshest out of all of the other grocery stores in the area. I used to live in California and used to shop at Trader Joe's like some people have mentioned. I wish we had one here in Florida. They sold unique items and the prices were very reasonable.

In London:
For gourmet and speciality shopping; WAITROSE
For general fresh foods daily; SAINSBURY (value pricing).
and finally TESCO DELIVERY for numerous multipacks of water and other store cupboard canned goods.

Agree with you as I do not like ASDA here or WALMART back in the states.

When home visiting in the states (western NY) I love shopping at WEGMANS - it's like combining WAITROSE and SAINSBURY for gourmet products and quality pricing!

I really enjoy Trader Joe's - they have a modern twist on healthy food. I love the chalk decorations they use for names of food items and sales prices.
Most of thier food is organic and they like to help the enviroment.
The staff is really friendly and they give out pretty cool food samples too.
The down side is the fresh fruit selection - they only offer a small amount of what's in season.

On the East coast of theU.S. there's a chain called Wegman's. Absolutely nothing like it. A little on the high-end, but it is worth every penny. The first time I walked in, it was a total sensory overload. I will never look at grocery shopping the same again!

i like morrisons cos it's bright, but not too bright like tescos, and it's small but had everything...evenm home wares..it has a feel of a market and is well priced.

i hate tescos and boycott them...they are too big fdor their own boots and i hate the way they are a law unto themselves when it comes to building regulations etc...i also hate their strap line and the way they "cut fruit prices in half"...when it's been exposed that they double the price of these items a few weeks before....b@stards....

i like asda cos it's so big and has everything!...but defo mozza's is the best..

i wonder if anyone will put kwik save!
