when you say mentally challenged do you mean devlepmentally disabled? if so then they do not have more strength per say as they don't realize what there strenght can do. and they don't know when to stop always like we do do when it starts to hurt, we usually stop. sometimes they get angrier. but that depends on the person and how they are being taken care of and what level they are. if they are severe then you usually don't have to worry about that if they are higher functioning with some bad help and therapy and no structure then yes they could hurt you. certainly not intentionaly though. my experiance is working for two years in a group home for the devlopementally disabled as a care staff

I've worked at an outpatient mental health center and can answer this question as "no". Unfortunately, what most people don't understand, is that the "mentally ill" are really suffering from brain abnormalities and/or chemical imbalances. They're not all a bunch of Norman Bates' running around. They just need medication to control their diseases just like someone needs medicine to control their high blood pressure.

I actually read a study that showed that the vision of a deaf person is not enhanced simply because they are deaf and lack the sense of hearing.

But...

Deaf people who grew up using ASL or another signed language had demonstrated some enhanced visual capacities. Being accustomed to using and also recognizing slight grammatical aspects when using ASL gives a deaf person a slight upper hand with regard to their visual capacity.

No. Well it depends on what kind of mentally challenged person you mean. A lot of them have other diseases like cerebral palsy, paralyzation, things causing them to be weak and such. But for autistics and people with downs, they are pretty much the same. It has to do with your heritage just like any one else, your diet, your physical activity, etc.
