While eating I prefer upbeat jazzy tunes-Let's fall in love, I've got you under my skin, What a wonderful world. For dancing everyone enjoys old school. I personally requested that no Disney songs be played at my wedding.

I'm not sure of the title but one line is "May I have this dance for the rest of my life, Will you be my partner every night, When we're together, it feels so right, May I have this dance for the rest of my life.
I love to hear this song at a wedding.

you always have to put the chicken dance in there and the hokey pokey... I hate both of them, but it isn't a wedding unless those 2 songs make an appearance

I think love songs are appropriate. Or maybe you can compily an email to all your guests (or ask family, and close friends) what "thier song" is. It is not a bad idea to do songs to get people involved. (cha-cha slide, tootsie roll, the chicken dance, ymca, hookie pokie, just to name a few)

anything that is fun up-beat and easy to dance too.
like kc and the sunshine band
kool and the gang ect.
no rap!!! sure its fine for clubs and to listen to in the car, but in no way is it appropriate for weddings!!! (sorry, but i went to the ghettoist wedding ever, and thats all that was played)
