Ok, I am going to do a regular cake with 2 cupcake cakes on the side. This is going to be a valentine's day theme but I just cant find the perfect picture of what I want. I thought you all might have some ideas/suggestions/ pictures you can share

I suggest making a double layer cake (square or circle) then surrounding the all sides with cupcakes. You can chose different frostings for the cake and cupcakes for a nice contrast or use the same frosting. I also highly suggest Red Velvet cake and cupcakes with cream cheese frosting garnished with fresh sliced strawberries or cherries. :) Here is my all-time favorite Red Velvet cake recipe. You HAVE to try it and I'm sure you'll LOVE it! Perfect for Valentines day.

How about crushing graham crackers up very fine and mixing it with sugar for the sparkle effect? You could ice the tops with a pretty blue icing and dip them into the "sand" mix so you see a small edge of the blue (kind of look like an island maybe?). I would then make starfish out of white chocolate to put in the center. You can make them any color.
