Have you checked JCPenney or Wal-Mart? Mine came from one of those. It's a Breadman Pro. I totally love it and use it all the time.

Homemade bread is much better tasting an for the most part is better for you. I had a bread machine that was given to me as a gift and was not cheap. My husband hated the way the bread turned out - probably because I had been making it by hand for years and he didn't like the square shape it was after it was baked. He also thought it was 'gummy' and I tend to agree. I don't think the machine got hot enough and air couldn't circulate in that little cramped area like it can in an oven. I traded the bread machine for a computer. There are a ton of baking sites with good advice on making your own bread. It's not hard and is actually fun - especially if you get kids involved. Another thing is if you buy the ingredients in large quantities like 10+ lb bags of flour and bulk yeast, you can save even more money. I do cheat a little - I have one of the 'Big Daddy' Kitchen Aid mixers with a dough hook that does a lot of my work for me! I love to bake bread and my potato bread has won every year I enter it in our County fair.

go to goodwill or some decent thrift shops just plug them in and check if they start the little wheel on the bottom of the basket turns make sure it has a basket for the dough also it comes in and out people get rid of them because they dont know how to use them they make great breads if you find a certain brand just get hold of the company and tell them you need a recipe book for it

Bread made in a bread machine always tastes funky to me, I don't like it. Try Sears.
