I believe half is truth and the other half is bravado! I sometimes find myself saying things when drunk that I never even knew I felt! Although on hindsight I often find it is the truth. Lowered inhibitions can sometimes be dangerous though!

My mom used to say a drunk man/woman says what a sober man/woman thinks.
And a good friend used to refer to alcohol as liquid courage so yes I do believe that a drunk will tell you the truth.
The only bad thing is when they sober up they use the excuse that they were drunk when they said it as an excuse to avoid the consequences of there actions

I think people do remember a lot of things they said when they were Drunk, the only difference is that when they are in a drunken state they,
JUST DON'T CARE WHAT THEY ARE SAYING.

Drink gives you the confidence to say what you can't when sober.Alot of people say "oh it was drink talk" purely for the fact that they can't admit that they were telling the truth!!

I think we will admit our true thoughts and feelings when we are drunk.

you would not have said it, if you weren't thinking it. Alcohol does not put ideas in your head, it just takes away your judgement and you may say and do things, that if you were sober you may not have done.
