Honey, there is no age limit to this. I'm going through it at 57.
We just have to move on.
Give ourselves time to grieve.

Good luck; I'm with you.

That's a hard question to answer:(
It's difficult to come up with a solution to this situation...but here are my thoughts...

i always believed that if someone is in love with me then i should become their first priority...that person would want to spend every waking hour with me.

if not being with him hurts you so much then you should find a way to move on but again if you think that he might be the "one" for you then maybe you could wait for him? One year sounds like a long time but it goes passed in a flash, before you know it it'll be 2008!

the decision is obviously up to you to make but don't do anything that you might regret in the future(whether it's waiting for him or not)

good luck, my heart really goes out to you cause I've been in the same situation and i know how it feels to be in such a predicament. (staying friends can be much harder to do)

You can never forget someone you really love, especially if they made a great impact in your life!
I personally fell in love with a good friend of mine! He is a really great guy, and I appreciate everything he's done! There's NO one who can ever replace him! Well before I left to move to another state, we talked and agreed to at least be friends! I go out to visit and things seem to be great betweeen us, but when I go back home I still think about him! It's hard to move on, but you have to move on sooner or later! Life is too short to hang on to just one person! It helps not talking to him or seeing him; also just try to keep yourself busy! If you have goals for your future, you should work on how your going to get there now, while you have free time! Like they say "If you love something set it free.If it comes back it's yours,if it doesn't it was never meant to be." Good Luck!

It's not easy, believe me, I know. Don't step out on him completely. Sounds like you know the reason why he can't be in a relationship with you right now. Just let go to allow him to grow in his spiritual religion. He'll come back around and appreciate your understanding and for giving him his space.

it must be really hard for you. i'm sorry.

the best thing to do is let time go by.
if keeping him as a friend is too hard for you, then maybe you should limit the time you talk to him.
dont shut him out of your life.

that sucks.
