When my wife or I leave the computer for a while, the system goes to screen saver mode, or more likely, to Monitor Off mode. On moving the mouse, the Welcome screen comes up (eventually, but that's another question). We'd like it instead if her side or mine, whichever was last active, just came up as it was before that person left the computer.

U have to do this setting in both accounts, you can go to Display properties, then screensaver and uncheck "on resume password protect", then it will get back to the same place where you left it. I think it should work, feel free to contact me on my email aadil_prabhakar@yahoo.com

Right click on an empty space on your Desktop and then click Properties to open Display Properties. Go to the Screen Saver tab and there is a checkbox just under where you select your Screen Saver that says something like "Show Welcome Screen After Exiting Screen Saver." Just uncheck that box.

unchek the "on resume password protect" box on the Screen saver tab on the display settings. right-click your desktop where there isn't an icon and click properties to get to the display properties.
