Perfectly normal. Don't worry, just cause all your friends have a boyfriend doesn't mean you need one too. It isn't about age it's just how you life goes, you just have to wait for the right guy to come. I never thought I would have a boyfriend either and then someone I never expected came into my life and its great! Just be patient and I'm sure your not ugly, don't think that.

Wow. I hear this a lot, these days.
Believe me, you're fine.
I'm now 17, and I've never had a boyfriend (or girlfriend). I'm pretty proud of that. Junior high (or middle school, depending on where you are) is the WORST time for dating, and high school is not much better. You have a lot coming at you already, just with the whole puberty thing and getting ready for college.
I'd say stop worrying about it. There's a huge societal pressure for everyone to be dating as soon as your age reaches double digits, but that's ridiculous. The same thing with 13 year olds claiming to be gay or bi. You really have NO idea what you are until you hit the end of high school- goodness knows I didn't.
But enough with me... to answer your questions directly:
- I say just let it come when it comes. There's no real point in seeking romance out anymore. I don't think dating is anywhere near as fun as flirting, anyway. Stay single and tease 'til your heart's content!
-sure they do, and they'll break up, be heartbroken for a week or so, and get over it. If you're going to date at all before college, you can't expect to find a perfect match and get married and all that. You're way too young.
- dating hardly ever has anything to do with looks... you're either compatible or not, no matter what you look like.

No one has written a Law that for you to have a boyfriend by the age of 13, you have your life ahead of you and your school to think about. At that age, having a boyfriend will just make it more difficult in school. Consent rate in your studies, you can be in High School and still not have a boyfriend, if you are smart! Baby, they take your valuable time and that time you need it to study hard for your future.
There is no age limit or waiting period for you to have a boyfriend, it is all up to you and the goals you have in your young life (do not start getting your feeling hurt) take your time.
If all your friends have boyfriends, ask them how they are doing with their grades. While your friends spend time with their boyfriends, you will be studying and getting ready for college and you will be the most successful one and that is a fact.
Define the meaning of ugly? what does ugly really mean? Ugly is the person that disrespect their parents. Ugly is the person that has no heart and treats other bad? Ugly is with in, not out. Look at all those actresses, they are beautiful outside and with make up on, but most have a very ugly attitude and that is why their husband leave them. You are beautiful and you have to change your attitude to that "Beautiful" at the end we will all age and look the same, but still beautiful in side our hearts.
Good Luck!

Why are you basing your self-worth on whether or not you have a boyfriend? Guess what? It's a lot easier for other people to love you if YOU love you. When you love yourself, your happiness and confidence will then attract others.
And I'm pretty sure 13 is actually younger than average to have a boyfriend. I think 15 is the average nowadays. I didn't have a serious bf until I was 16, and when all was said and done I actually regretted not waiting longer.

Why would you want to have a bf at 13? Of course it's normal. I bet it has nothing to do with you being ugly. I'm sure there's a lot of people way uglier than you with bf. When the time comes to have a bf, you'll know. You sound like the typical girl trying to fit in. Don't try so hard. Just relax and enjoy your adolescence years. I'm still a teen and I just relax. I don't have a bf, and I'm perfectly happy.

They've done studies that say that a person who waits until age 25 to have sex, marriage, kids, etc... has a much, much higher chance of being successful in the world and living a happy life.
(Yes, most dont wait that long, but the point is that the longer you wait, the better your life will be.)
You are 14. There is 40 years of dating and sex. It will all come. School is what is the most important thing right now.

Let me tell you. i was 16, didnt have a bf asnd the only one in my group to still be a virgin. so what I did was get some guy to do me on the bathroom floor just so my friends wouldnt laugh at me anymore. Now that Im an adult I got that to look back to as my first time experience. Let me tell you. WAIT till its right! Even if your not looking for sex, just to have a BF. You have your whole life ahead of you.....dont rush into anything if it doesnt come natural. It's perfectly normal. You're not ugly. Show confidence in yourself and when the time is right, the guy will see that confidence and you'll find yourself a boyfriend. Don't try to keep up with your friends, set your own pace.
