I think that my child was adopted and her mother didn't have the child support stopped. She says that she din't go through with it, but my child signs her last name as another and her mother says that its the childs legal last name. I am not able to get copies of the adoption papers from the state even though I am the biolagical parent. What do I do?

if the child was adopted, then the child support STOPS,,,, unless there are ARREARS OWED, then it wont stop until that is all paid off...

Contact an attorney immediately. If you are paying child support for a child who was now placed with another family through adoption, you have no financial obligation to the child. You need to speak with an attorney who can help you.

A copy of the adoption papers should be sent to whomever is taking support.

if you adopted the child, yes you pay. IF someone else adopted your child, no your no longer the legal parent and don't pay anything.

You adopted a child and now you don't want to pay child support? What a loser!!
Once you adopted that child it became yours!!! You are legally bond to pay
