Certain religions believe so... Again, this is why there are so many denominations to Christianity... It's all interpretations of really pointless things. Such as this... It shouldn't really matter if there are levels... and you will never know until you die... The point of the Bible seems diluted because people argue about the small things... Look at the bigger picture... And stop questioning the details.

it really is depending in common words on human beings's idea that some unbelievers are worse than others, the wish that some get punished badly and others gently. that is not any longer biblical. For an attractive literary description (considering the fact that rather that's a mythology equipped up on a religious subject, so the literature is the most proper description you get) study Dante's Inferno and the others. i imagine Paul's third heaven should be been, like, the single which isn't the ambience (as a lot because the clouds, the moon, or inspite of technological awareness taught lower back then) or the actual cosmos, yet an section previous the universe? only a wager, i'm effective human beings have explored that excellent though.

Read the Divine Comedy.
Dante takes you through the levels of Hell in Inferno, the mountain of purgatory in Purgotorio and in the last book Heaven which is a giant rose with 3 saints on each pedal and the Virgina Mary and God in the center (also Dante's beloved - who he idolized as a imbodiment of Mary).
Inferno and Purgotorio are the most entertaining, the one about heaven is actually rather boring.

There is a heaven, hell is being separated from God. There are probably good people who have denied God who will be separated from God in the end and its a matter of opinion about levels in heaven, but I vote no.

At one time there was heaven and hell, but the church needed more to control people, so in 1294 when Dante wrote the the Inferno he came up with many different levels of hell and the church decdided that was cool and they adopted what they could to control whom they wanted.

There are 162 references to HELL in the New Testament alone, over 70 of those spoken by Jesus Himself.
" He that believes (the gospel) and is baptized SHALL BE SAVED; he that believes not SHALL BE DAMNED ". - Jesus
"So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire; there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth". - Jesus (Matt. 13:49)
Jesus called it a literal place of REAL torment.

" For the wages of sin is death, but the Gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ Our Lord". - (Romans 6:23)

Nope, you take rebirth in a deva realm or hell realms according to your karma. If all your deeds are virtuous and altruistic, it's not likely you'll see a hell realm... however there are different levels of suffering in the deva realms as well... so the best thing to do is to strive for enlightenment and freedom from it all.

there is a vague reference in the Bible to levels in hell, but no such reference to heaven that I am aware of. the reference to the third heaven is reference to heaven itself. the second heaven is outer space and the first heaven is earth's atmosphere.
