Out of 5 puppies only one has survived the fourth born- He is a brindle male and we would like to give him a meaning-full name - His mother is called Spirit so we cant have anything with a Spr sound like Sypro which means of spirit (Greek Word)

Staffords are a strong little breed. I would suggest looking up some old time famous staffords that survived during the times when they were pitted against bull and other dogs. Perhaps choosing an old time favorite or English Warrior name would be suitable for the dogs breed, history and obvious purpose to survive. You could simply call him Will. However out of all the names suggested Eziekel is the best.

superviviente is survivor in spanish. since chihuahuas are originally from mexico a spanish name would be appropriate....do a translation of different words english to spanish online with yahoo and see if that helps you choose. Good luck! ~BTW I own a little male named Chico! he is almost 2 lbs now!
