Yes, it will definitely try to eat your mouse if you leave it unattended. Cats eat mice; everyone knows that. Fortunately, there's a quick and easy method of training your cat to leave the mouse alone. Like all predatory animals, cats respond to dominance. If you can establish early on that your mouse is the dominant one, then your cat will become submissive and will never bother your mouse.
Here's how to establish mouse dominance:
1) take hold of the mouse with your right hand
2) hold the cat by the back of its neck with your left hand
3) smack kitty in the face several times with the mouse
Do this, and you'll never have to worry about your cat eating your computer mouse.

boy, u don't know the half of what really being a cat owner is, do u? of course not! don't b stupid! sure, it might try and play w/ the mouse every now and then but it certainly won't try and gulp down ur computer's mouse! if ur cat really appreciates the sport of hunting, then, u may have a surprise at ur door the next day, probably a dead bird or a real mouse or a squirrel, that's what my cat use to do.

No a cat will not try to eat the computer mouse.
my brothers cat sits on my laptop computer keyboard (because it's warm) and has actually turned it off. LOL. I have to remember to make sure i have either turned off the laptop or closed the lid so the little cat won't turn it off again!

I wouldn't worry about the mouse, but look out for the tail. My cat chewed it completely off, and so did my friend's cat to hers. She bought a special chord protector for it. Look at your computer store. Do it soon, cats are quick.

No it won't ,unless you cover your computer mouse in fur, ears, a tail and you put catnip on it. That is the only way your cat will attack it and think of it as their own play toy.

This is cute. My kitty completely ignores my mouse
but she is curious about my printer. She doesn't do this now but once upon a time she use to attack the
paper coming out of the printer. Now she just walks on the buttons and actually printed out a paper by
walking on the buttons. Most times I have to turn the computer off so she won't accidently hit 'print'. lol

Well DUH. Cats eat mice. There's a simple fix though, once the cat has eaten the mouse, grab the mouse cord and swing it around in the air violently. The cat will get it pulled up its throat and be flung into a wall. Both saving your mouse and teaching your cat a valuable lesson; "Only eat CORDLESS mice."

i think that once it sees that it is hard and not very fun to play with, it will leave it alone, but on the other hand, maybe it is better that he does not see the mouse at all, get him a squeky,or plush mouse(you can get a one for a dollar or two at the dollar store), and he will not even think about that, plasic, hard, computer mouse of yours.
