A GED is harder because you must learn four years in six hours(or however long the ged test takes). It is easier to get your diploma and spend the four years learning and honing those basic math and writing skills than to cram. I am glad to have my Advanced diploma from high school, but I know people personally who had to get a ged and it is Hard. But press onward toward your educational goals and keep your head up.

Why shouldn't it be? I mean you spend (hopefully) 4 years in high school so why should you be able to take a simple test for a GED? It probably isn't hard enough!

I don't think it is harder, but there is nothing to it but studying. At least with high school, studying is a social experience and there is a lot in addition to the academics to soften the blow.
