In the wild it's a herd, as with other hoofed animals such as cows, antelope, etc.; a smaller group can also be called a "bunch"
The herd belonging to any one stallion is called a harem sometimes.
But a group of horses owned by someone is called Ramada--the horses ranch hands of cowboys on a trail drive ride, a strong --belonging to the same cowboy,or else a stable--those horses belonging to a single owner.
Then there's names for a team, etc. given to multiple horses pulling a conveyance, and in the ancient world a 'hitch" meant however many horses were being used, plus a four-horse chariot was a quadriga, etc.
It's more complicated than it looks.
Oh and riding two horses is called riding tandem.
