If you are that concerned it may be a good idea to take her back to the vet since its the weekend. It is probably due to irritation from anesthesia but its better to be safe than sorry. Good luck.....you know your dog better than anyone.

Could be kennel cough. If it is and your dog is generally healthy - and not a sighthound - there is no need to treat it.

Could be a trachea problem if she pulled really hard on a leash while at the vet. Again - no treatment for it.

I've never heard of a trach tube causing problems, but it makes sense.

Yes, the tube they put down their throat can cause irritation, but it should be less bad by tomorrow, and completely gone by the next day.

It's shouldn't be too bad though - if it is, take her back to the vet, they may give her an anti-inflammatory to help. You shouldn't have to worry about her all over the weekend!

It's likely from having the tube down her throat during the surgery. They will sort of wheeze or will cough and act like they are trying to clear their throat.

I agree with W. Better safe than sorry and you can't exactly take her in tomorrow (unless your vet has an emergency number, in which case they will charge you extra for) I'd rather get it looked at now than have to worry all weekend long. Hope she gets better.

you'll favor to have a necropsy(similar as post-mortem) achieved. i'd have it achieved by using someone except the vet who achieved the spay. i'm so sorry on your loss. you need to record it for your vet immediately, yet like I said have yet another vet do the necropsy.
