Yes because its a different kind of racism. Its not just a black and white thing anymore. now if you are of color or speak a different language other than english you are considered an illegal when in fact no one in this world is illegal, they might be undocumented but it shouldnt be illegal to live life.

It's hard to tell. Racism has had a checkered pattern in American history.

For instance, dislike of Asians has actually declined in the U.S. Washington State, where I live, had a governor of Chinese origin from 1996 - 2004. This would have been inconceivable in the Seattle area neighborhoods where I grew up in back in the 1950's and 60's; even as late as the 70's! I taught in some of the schools here then and still noticed anti-Chinese sentiment among many of the students. There were worse days in American history for Irish and Italian people too but the attitudes of Protestant White Americans towards them have largely changed. .

On the other hand, prejudice against Jews and Blacks is still widespread and more work needs to be done to alleviate it. Black Americans were just beginning to make it into the middle and upper middle classes in the 1970's when Reaganomics and a windfall of illegal immigration eroded that progress only a decade later.

A common misconception about racism is that it is just a White thing, even a White American thing. There are varying degrees of racism in all countries. For example, you will find no Chinese living in India and no Indians living in China. That's how much the two peoples dislike each other;
You don't see Brazil and Argentina taking in Mexican or Puerto Rican immigrants.

African students studying in the Soviet Union in the 1960's and 70's found that Russians were actually more racist towards Blacks than Americans or white South Africans in spite of Communist propaganda about all workers of the world belonging to a single brotherhood.

People are always claiming that blacks have this club and blacks have that club. Take television for instance. There is BET (which is more degrading to blacks than anything but okay). We have BET and TVOne, but every other station is dedicated to white people. Maybe not consciously, but it is. When was the last time a drama was based on a black family on CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, etc? Would white people watch it? Probably not. I am in an Ivy League school, and they try to make it as racially diverse as possible, without being unfair, they have turned down black applicants as well as whites. But since our grandparents and their parents didn't go here, we don't have the alumni pulling for us to give us those points to get in (Like our illustrious president). And people always assume that we don't merit what we get. I was in a minority based research program as an undergrad, because there are not enough minorities (not just blacks) or women in science. But all the people with me were talented scientist and scholars and have proven so. You don't succeed at the graduate level if you are not.

So when the numbers in society balance out, we will have no need for "special clubs".

And to answer your question, the answers to your question prove that there is still racism, because black people are still in the process of moving up in society and white people resent any little attempt we make and any attempt that is made to help us do so. I will get lots of thumbs down, but that's the way it is.

Yes definitely. Minorities in America have hit an all time high on racial bigotry and double standards toward the Caucasoid population. 87% of the Government is protected class people; 100% in Florida, California and Mississippi. They have a no White hire policy in many of the factory's in Texas and California and it is 17 times more difficult for a single White female with a child to get social services than a minority.

Going by these facts and the fact that most minority's can say and do what ever they want without persecution and a White guy makes a Southern African nappy hair joke is ostracized.

Hope this helps.

definitely yes, after september 11th, there is a logical development of racism since american people have got more paranoic than before, at some point extreme careful could become racism, and remember the States was already racist before 9/11 ... so....

Instead of helping us to become non racist, they are only dividing us more. They are not providing a solution....only making it worse. I was told the other day that our city police have a "black police society" club. Now tell me, can we as white people have a white club in the police force? Heck no. That would be racist. There are no equal rights. The "rules" do not apply to all.

Whites aren't racist, blacks are and they are the ones that scream racism the loudest. They always play the race card no matter what.
