You have that option now. There are MANY places where the entire population is of the same faith, and outsiders are unwelcome. Why would ANYONE want that? Aren't our differences as human beings as compelling as our similarities? Is being insulated from the world a desireable thing? Is the real world SO frightening and mystifying that we feel a need to retreat to an artificially sanitized and homogenous little world of our own? Can you ONLY honor your God if you live in an encapsulated dwelling place surrounded by others like you?
If so, the problem is NOT with the world, it's with yourself.

I bet he's happy there, too ... Mel and his family can safely hide away from any and all proof that the Holocaust actually happened!
Personally, I don't have enough delusions of grandeur to think that my beliefs make me too good to live in the real world. And to me, this seems like a very un-christian thing to do. Everyone says that salvation through Jesus is a gift, right? So why would they retreat from the world and keep that gift to themselves? Pretty selfish, if you ask me ...

No. That little fiat of in-group/out-group behavior doesn't work. It didn't work for the Pilgrims coming to the New World, and it won't work for him, either.
The nature of Christianity is schism and discord, so it won't be long before he and his relatives have squared off against each other over some trivial interpretation of the bible or whatever.
I do endorse that person isolating himself, as he obviously hasn't matured enough to live in a world with other people yet.

Actually, in the last few hundred years this idea has been tried numerous times. They were called "Utopian communities" and not a single one survived because diversity is an essential part of all healthy human communities. No, I would NOT move there, especially if membership were limited to people with my beliefs. I think of it somewhat like marrying my sister, (ewwwww!) It's a form of philosophical inbreeding that has failed every time it's been tried.

Only if it was Jerusalem or some area close to it. Which i do believe in the tribe of Ephraim teaching which says that the remaining gentile believers will be gathered back into the land of Isreal. Other than that i'll wait on the Lord where he has me. If he wants me to move and live some place else he has ways to do that.

Well that would be nice, but we couldn't do what Jesus told us to, and that is to go and preach the Gospel to all nations.
Also Mel Gibson is a Catholic not a self proclaimed Born Again Christian. There is a BIG difference.
If you want more info on that difference email me.

Goodness no! I happen to like mixing with people who have different interests and views from mine. Helps me grow, I think.
And redeemed. You've confused me. Are not Catholics people who honour God and Jesus also?

I will be living in a place like that one day- and it is called Heaven- but you know something I would not want to live here on earth like that because then I could never be able to share the love and gospel of Christ with those who need to hear it, so that they too can live with me in heaven with the Lord.

No, I wouldn't. How boring. If you believe that God created all people, then you should see the God in all of them, not just those who are like you.
