theyre are shriveled up like an old person (no offense to any oldies reading this)
why do people eat them? they look gross.

yes but don't be fooled by the looks as the are the most potent with vitamins and the most important source of beta carotene that is necessary for our bodies to fight degeneration and disease. If the looks are disgusting to you, take and slice one or two and steam them to tenderness and add a little pepper. The wrinkles seem to fade and they are not so crunchy but they are one of the best sources of the things that are good for you. Just like us oldies, as you call us, we may not be the best looking but we by far are good for you and like the carrot, it is not our physical appearance that attracts you but the inside of experience and knowledge that keeps balance. Hug and old person they are the carrots of tomarrow.

Carrots are a wonderful health food, especially for good eyesight. They are also physically beautiful, and are never shrivelled unless they are kept too long. Best to keep them in wrap in the refrigerator. They last several times longer if kept in wrap. Exposure to the air will shrivel them in a few days.

When they just come up from the earth they are a little unruly but it is not their fault, they are good roasted for sure. If people only looked things that looked cute a lot of baby animals would be dinner.
