It could be a sign of impending heat season, or it could be a sign of uterine infection . As she hasn't done this before, and isn't showing other signs of coming in heat, it would be wise to have her checked by a vet to rule out uterine infection..as it can be deadly and sneak up on her..

This is usually a sign of a female in season, or a dog showing submission to the Alpha dog. I do agree with spaying. There are too many unwanted/homeless animals in this world. Don't add to the problem.

It's a sign that she wants to be spayed... She can't get you to understand this, so she is trying to let the male know so that he can tell you what she wants!

Female dogs aren't stupid, they know how to get things from males. They will show them what they got to get their rawhide or their food etc. Neutered or not, a male will give up nearly anything he has to check out a girl whether or not she is in heat.

i'm assuming you've had both examined to be positive they're fertile? that's the position a sturdy mentor that you've met in any respect those conformation shows ought to help you. because you haven't got a mentor, i'm guessing you've untitled canines that you have not bothered to demonstrate for genetic subject matters (more effective than only a sparkling bill of well-being out of your vet). this suggests you want to split them until eventually you've fulfilled the above. in elementary words grubby outside breeders have litters from untested canines. Are you one?

Yes of course it is, she wants to mate with him. Dogs and cats are not subtle about this!

The only way to stop her doing this is, of course, to get her spayed. This will also stop her developing potentially fatal pyometra or mammary tumours in her later life, and most liekly result in a happy, and certainly healthier, dog.

Yes, your unaltered female is inviting your male (I assume unaltered) to have a sniff and possibly a romp.

I recommend getting both animals fixed.

Yes it is. She is showing the male she is ready to mate. So unless you want pups then let them be if not then seperate them for the next 2 weeks.
