C j is correct in his analysis of Manny, but I'd like to offer you the names of Juan Manuel Marquez, who can forget his three knockdowns in the very first round against Pacquiao and still manage to come back and fight to a draw. One only has to look at Marco Antonio Barrea for the definition of stamina and ability to absorb punishment. His fight with Morales, Pacquiao, Jones, McKinney, Juarez and Marquez are all prime examples of stamina and ability to absorb obscene amount of punches.
Boxing has many, but in my opinion, these are the guys who stick out.
Thanks for the question Jcns.

In order of toughness, I gotta give Santana, Smitty and bluedevil each a thumbs up.
1. Marquez, getting up after three knockdowns to fight Pacquiao to a draw was unbelievable.
2. Wink beat both Vargas and Taylor with heart and defense, but lost the decisions because he lacked the power to move either opponent.
3. James Toney has always been a difficult fighter to hit, he slips and gives angles like the middleweight champ he was and took the best Samuel Peters could offer for 24 rounds, what more needs to be said.
Great question, good job all the way around with the answers.

I think everyone should know how durable the chin of Manny Pacquiao is. Look at him, he has not been knocked down in his prime and always comes forward, absorbing all the punches thrown to him. He is a relentless fighter who does not focus on defense very much. Look at him, he withstood all of the punches in Morales's arseal in their first epic clash. He had a cut but never quit. He has great heart and great chin. Who has knocked him down in recent years, Marquez, Morales, Velasquez, or Barrera? We all know clearly that the "knockdown" in the Barrera fight was a slip. He gave Barrera a beating that night. Manny certainly has a chin of stone and a heart of a lion.

Probably some relatively unknown journeyman fighter. These guys usually accept they are going to lose and are basically paid to put up a good show and last as long as possilble. They may not have the best skills but alot of them have great stamina and are as hard as nails.

Three fighters come to mind and they are as follows:
James Toney. Man can he take a punch. He is very durable.
Manny Pacquiao. Very tough with a great chin and heart.
Bernard Hopkins. His record proves how great his stamina is and he's about as tough as they come,

Are you talking heavyweights, middleweights, lightweights, or all weight classes?
I think the middle and light weight divisions have the better fighters right now.
