How do I close the COM1 port?

That would depend on what you mean by that.

Physically close the port?
Close an "open" port?
Disable it via BIOS?
Some other meaning that you may have?

COM1 is the serial port on your computer. You don't really close it, although you may be able to use jumpers on your motherboard to disable it.
