My HP Photosmart M525 broke so I'm thinking of buying a new camera. I'm really fond of the M525 but I'm wondering if there's a better camera but still affordable. Any ideas on what I should look at?

The best, inexpensive camera is the Fuji F20.
$131.99 at NewEgg.

For a great point&shoot, the Fuji F20 is an excellent camera for the money. But you can't go wrong with most of the digitals from Canon, Fuji, Nikon, Olympus and Sony.

You didn't say what features were important. The best site I know is http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/compare.asp to choose a camera you will really enjoy.

For instance, if you want to use your SD memory, and want image stabilization, you might conside the Nikon L5 http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Nikon/nikon_cpl5.asp

Try out Canon A series...they use the typical easy to find AA batteries and a good example is A540 with 4X optical zoom and many functions that suits the taste of amateurs and professionals. It's about 200$
