I just answered a question about the Holy Spirit giving someone a new heart, and from what you are saying in your scenario, this person does not really have a new heart. On the other hand, who am I to judge? So I'll have to leave that decision up to God.

Only God can answer that question. God judges the heart.

If this man were truely repentant then he would be saved. Keep in mind, you are not truely repentant if you confess a sin that you plan to repeat on a regular basis. In other words, you cannot say "I will just keep confessing this sin so that covered, but I plan to keep committing this SPECIFIC sin". Repentance means you fully intend, with all your heart, to stop committing that particular sin. You may fall on your face and have to repent again, but God knows your heart. He knows if you intend to commit the sin again at the time you repent. He also knows if you "ask Jesus to be your saviour" because you want to be "covered" in case you die, but you intend to continue living the way you want. A person who does that was never saved in the first place. God judges the heart of a man and knows his intentions.

If this person had been truly committed to God, they would not have done this. YOu dont live for God only when its convenient. But, when one does mess up, forgivness can come, if one asks for it,means it and gives up sin. IF not, there is no salvation. The idea that one can never fall from grace once saved, is a lie. Read Galations 5 . its real clear. and even when one is forgiven by God, they still must face the concequences tht come from going apart from GOD> Prison still awaits the person you described, and other may hate him and never forgive him. If one doesnt forgive us, it holds them in bondage and us too so you bring so much heartache that sitll must be faced. Far easier to follow all God says at all times and avoid all the pitfalls. God does want us in heaven, with no sin and only pure joy. BUt, He also wants us to have a glimpse of that right here in this life NOW, by living a life free of sin, and yes that can be done, if we love Jesus enough to obey Him, and walk in the spirit of the living GOD obedience leads to blessing and disobedience leads to curse. this theme is thruought the BIBLE, and no GRace will not cover deliberate continued sin.

Asking Jesus to be your savior means you're trying to emulate Jesus, to follow his example to become enlightened and thereby reach a state of "heaven."

If you ask for salvation and then act completely against Christ's teachings, then it didn't really stick now, did it?

I guess if you repented after that and actually DID accept Jesus's way of life, maybe you could get to heaven then...

but you don't just get a "Get Out of Hell Free" card from the Community Chest of Christ when you "accept Jesus as your Savior." It doesn't work like that.

You go to heaven or hell or wherever you go in your particular belief system based on the path you choose for yourself. It's not based on one act, but rather on the way you live your life in general. I'm a little suspicious of the idea that you can repent on your deathbed and go to heaven, but hey, whoever's done it is dead and gone, so there's no telling where they went.

And I'm not going to try to ask them.

He would not go to heaven -- not because of his evil deeds but because there is no heaven.

As a quadruple murderer I hope this guy gets his just deserts here on earth and spends the rest of his days in prison. When he dies, that is the end of him and he will only be remembered as an evil and stupid person. That is all the "afterlife" he will get.

The only thing that lives on after any of us is our deeds and achievements during this life.

Why they asking Jesus. why don't they go and ask God direct
Jesus was just a Prophet from God sent to the children of Israel.

"A Messenger to the children of Israel, who will say 'Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord. I will make a bird for you out of clay and I will blow into it and it will become a live bird by the permission of God. I will aslo cure the blind, the leper,, and give life to the dead with the permission of God. I will tell you of your personal belongings you keep in your homes (without entering your homes) Indeed in all that is a sign for you, if you are believers."(Qur'an 3:49)

NO! he walked away from his salvation by refusing to repent and continued in lying and other sins.

Being a Christian does not mean you do not have to face what you have done, when you break laws here

first it ain't that easy to "get saved"... there is more to it than you state...

losing control in the first emotionally charged situation would be possible... going as far as you propose is not likely for one truly one of God's people....... "Once saved always saved" dose not give any one a free pass to sin in any circumstance
