The pain comes from repetitive motion. You are doing the same thing over and over again with filing. There are wrist supports that would help stop a lot of the pain you are experiencing. See your medical doctor and ask about what type of supports could help your wrist and arm.

At night time use a heating pad or a hot water bottle on your wrist and arm. Afterwards apply an analgesic balm. This will relax the muscles and help reduce the pain. Ask your medical doctor for anti inflammatory medication to reduce the pain.
