YOU'D BE SURPRISED

Says the person who has done nothing but put down fundamentalists and other Christians all morning long. You're just as judgmental and accusatory as the people you're pointing a finger at, so you might want to rethink what you're doing here.

As to whether this Catholic Christian has reached anyone through this site, I don't know, and I'm not too worried about it. I answer questions to the best of my ability and support my points with Scripture when appropriate. I *do* know that nothing done in God's service is ever wasted and that sometimes the good we've done won't be made known to us until eternity.

We will all no doubt be surprised when we stand before God on Judgment Day and find out how we affected the lives of others by what we said and did.

My objective on R&S is not to save someone. If it happens- praise God, but I do not think this site is the best place to truely share my faith. However, if someone posts a question and I have an answer I am going to put it out there. After all, isn't that what this site is for? If someone reads my answer and gets something from it, great. I hope someone does, at least every now and then!

I try to be polite.

Y/A comments come up when you google a topic. The Q&A doesn't go away. It's not just users of Y/A that have access to the banter.

You may not be interested in the answers, and there may not be one person saved through this site. But my belief is that His word doesn't return to him empty.

Does it bother you that folks preach, or is it how they preach? I agree with you that there are some folks who are polite. I really hope some folks clean things up a little bit.

I like these answers they usual reach me.
1st Peter 3v
21The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: 22Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

The answer of a good conscience toward God.

Do the fundies trouble your conscience? Isn't that the real reason you come in here because something about you needs a good answer.

For me this site solidifies what I already believe. When people come up against my fundamental beliefs, and I defend them, it reinforces why I believe the way I do. I can take that from here into real life, and use it for God's Glory. Perhaps no one got saved here on this site, but I've been able to plant seed elsewhere with the knowledge I've gained here. I love how you accuse us "fundies" of being rude, but your very question drips with disdain. Perhaps we are all one and the same concerning our manners.

I find this forum to be a safe haven for people to discuss religion and their beliefs outside of the real world. It is hard to discuss with people religious beliefs, since most social gatherings hold the belief that people aren't supposed to talk about religion/politics/money (you know, the three important things). So this is a place where people can discuss openly their views.

On the negative side, I think that this place has a bunch of nonsense you have to drift through in order to find the interesting thoughts.

I think you gave a good answer to your question

If someone gets "saved" that is between them and God. I don't save--God does. "some plant--some water but God gets the increase."

Chuck,
What is your problem this morning? Have you been without caffeine again? I believe that just being able to express oneself and feel that I am answering a few questions is enough for me. I attend and teach Bible Studies in my hometown also. I just like this forum and a number of the people here are wonderful. They do not all put people down for religious or non-religious convictions.... Why do you? Have a great day.
Thanks,
Eds, "Fundamental Christian"

Why ask us this question, maybe if you post this question. How many people have been saved because of the Christians on this site. Then you would get an honest answer.Instead you desire to spew some hate, and a little ridicule.

Depends on if you mean you've been "saved" by religious beings by being brought to believe in a faith system, or if we've been saved from the wrath of "work" by giving into the demons of procrastination.
