*eyeroll* They value fear as a motivator. Why do you think they bring up Hell so often? Of COURSE they think war is a wonderful recruitment period. Scares some people so badly that they become irrational and desperate. I wonder, though... why would they value that kind of "reaching out"? They know it isn't genuine... they know it's borne of nothing more than an instinctual reaction to preserve the self.

Then again, I'm sure the people who say "there are no atheists in foxholes" have never met someone like me, someone who's stood at death's doorstep and never screamed out for something that doesn't exist.

It does not have to be a war. You can be in a fox hole in your marriage, relationships, finances, or a battle with cancer a atheist will still cry out under the pressure. When your put in a place you've never been before and you see the pressure of it and reality that it could kill you, cripple you mentally, and hinder you for life. You will cry out to God. Like I said, it does not have to be a war. Life itself is already a battle ground. What a lot of atheists don't talk about is the stress and trials they are going through even as they are vocalizing their comments on this site. Some vocalization is a cover-up for the hell that is breaking out in their life. And they have to speak their view in order to shut out the voice of God in their situation. People talk and complain the most when there is turmoil in their life.

isnt that how it been for the past centuries, people being killed for not believing in their religion. but anyhow, they are many other religions besides atheists if there are no atheists in foxholes then there has to be an agnostic or buddha or taoist or someone that has the commen sense and logic to not want to go into war.

Oh No. Our GOd is a GOd of peace and love. But, just like you who dont believe , you hold on to your rights to not believe ok. Even God gives that right. BUt, we have a right to believe. and this is a question I ask of you that are anti Bush concerning war. If you wont be forced to believe as Christian, will you be ok to be forced to be muslim?? We will go to war always to defend our right to worship the one true God , the GOD of the Bible and the teachings Of Jesus In the koran, it says that all invidels must be killed. an infidel is anyone not musim. SO if we let them take over, all we be force to worship ALLAH or be killed. We will fight to the death for our rights to worship GOd WE dont like war, nor does BUSH. but you know what, we must fight . and you who dont believe in God need to be willing to go to war too. Cuz if you think it will be fun to have the muslims take over, once we gave up, and then force you to be muslim or kill you and your falmily, then continue on as you are. I dont hate musims. As a Chrsitian I hate noone. But you read their book and see their plans and you know we can only pray they will come to know Jesus and in the meantime defend our rights to worship GOD as we choose YOu want freedom, then man, you better be with BUSH about the war. amen. and yes, there are no atheists in foxholes, or at least very few. a few diehards maybe. there are ppl that set themselves on fire too, so what can I say self destruction comes easy to some ppl

The atheists probably try not to partake in war to begin with. So you'd have to convert them to a life of violence before you could move on to God if war were your method.

Sounds like an extra step to me.

actually, i hit upon such harrowing circumstances as being in a foxhole to remodel many Christians to a minimum of agnostics, as they preserve away from bullets, in place of waiting for the Lord to provide. wondering your faith somewhat, hmmmmm?

No, war is probably the most horrific possible way but that does not make the statement any less true.
