Help me! I'm talking to a guy online and he absolutely won't believe in anything. He's an atheist. I really need more proof that there is a Jesus and a God, and the evil side too. He does believe in ghosts and aliens too! I'm trying to do good and turn someone away from atheism. Help!

You can't make someone believe something simply because you believe it. Respect the guy enough to not judge him, and don't try to change him.

You can't be him and he can't be you that's what the problem is. mmmm let me get this right he believes in aliens and ghosts so he believes in the supernatural which is GOD. Thats the biggest lie satan has ever lead people to believe is that he doesn't walk the earth. Doubt is the opposite of Faith. What more proof then the joys in your world. God is love plain and simple. Be kind. Be patience. just continue to show the fruits of your spirit. Ask him if his car was rocking off a cliff who would he call out tooo? No matter what God is Love. God bless

gotquestions.org is a good resource. Having said that, you need to remember that it is not your job to turn him away from atheism. that is God's job. You are God's mouthpiece. You should share your faith with him, you should answer any questions he has as best you can. If you have done these things, and he is still an atheist, do not continue trying to convince him to believe as you do. Continue being his friend, treat him with respect, don't back down when you disagree. He has heard the truth, God will work in his life when the time is right.

The best thing to do is get yourself into God's word.

Matthew 7:3 "And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?" What this means is, a person has to fix what's wrong in their life before helping someone else with the same problem.

Do you even know what a true atheist is? It is a person or group of people who has studied all religions and have based their opinion and their own knowledge that there is no God.

However, read 1 John 2:22 "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is ANTICHRIST, that denieth the Father and the Son."

Those who deny the Father and the Son are antichrists. I didn't say it, it's in the bible.

I don't see that atheists are so bad, they never killed anyone in gods name. I think god would at least appreciate that. But there are many things that make you think. It says in Genisis, 2000 years before Aristotle pointed it out, that the Earth "is a sphere sitting upon nothing". It also predicted the United Nations. In Revelation it gives one of the Apostles a vision of automobiles. It says "No man shall ever rebuid the tower of Bable". Saddam tried to rebuild it and the first gulf war broke out. A scud missile flew 20 miles off course and slammed into it. etc...

"Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge." Proverbs 14:7

"Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him. Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit." Proverbs 26:4-5

"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one." Psalms 14:1-3

No where in the Bible does it say we are to defend God. We are to simply declare that He is and leave it at that. It is God place through the Holy Spirit to show this lost soul that God does exist. All we are to do is witness to them and leave it there--in prayer.

"For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else. I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right." Isaiah 45:18-19

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." John 1:1-5

My only suggestion to you is is to ask him to consider reading the entire book of John from a Scofield King James Bible and leave it there. God's Word will not return void.

Check out the tract below.

You can not turn some one from their beliefs, GOD is the only one can do that. The only we can do is share the word of GOD. Then pray that this person will hear the truth in the word of GOD. You already done what you need to do.
This person is just playing with you. He knows the truth already and choose not to believe.
It is written that there will be some people will reject the truth, may he is one of them.

Love does not give up...but faith is not a possession of all people.

So, keep trying, but be realistic. Pray for wisdom.

I like this scripture...'Of course all houses are constructed by someone, but he that constructed all things is God.'

So, you could point out that not believing in Creation is as absurd as saying, 'no one built the house you live in, it was created by a big bang.' Some people who have common sense will get the point.

I have a magic cloak that turns me invisible. Why won't you believe me? No- I won't give you proof that it works, you have to take my word for it.

See- you are probably an otherwise rational and logical, possibly even intelligent individual. it's not your fault that you have been brainwashed into believing in Jesus- you were indoctrinated at a young age, and live in a culture that supports your beliefs. You really had no choice. Enjoy your faith, it will provide you much strength and a sense of community- but you will not get someone who has not been indoctrinated to believe in what appears to them to be far-fetched tales from the bronze age.

A relationship with the divine (or lack there of) is a deeply personal thing. I think the real quesiton is why do you have to "turn someone away from atheism"? If atheism works for that person, then it's the right answer for them. If it's not, then he'll have to get there on his own.

Well tell him like this. Do you know that Jesus is Spirit? So where do you think ghosts are from?
Ask him, why does he believe in ghost? his answer would probably be, because have seen it and theres proof.
Ok, so then jesus is real because He is spirit and spirits would exists without a destination.
