For me, most of the time I could care less what people say of me, unless I know them deeply then of course I care..

But I feely deeply offended when someone speaks derogatory about GOD and Jesus Christ that is what gets my dander up
maybe because of what Jesus had to take from mankind to save humanity.

What about you?

We're on the same page. It doesn't matter what people have to say about me, but it really hurts me when they attack Jesus, Whom I love above all things.

He is the spotless Lamb of God Who died for our sins, and He doesn't deserve to be called vile names and viciously attacked.

I'm not easily offended at all. I don't care what people say about me or my faith (especially if I don't know them). I do feel anger pangs when people make fun of my deities, but not enough to get irritable with them (most of the time). I've come to learn that some people are just judgemental, sometimes even ones you love. I have a live and let live attitude and often only attack when I'm feeling in a confrontational mood. Even then - most of the time I'm really not offended. Just wanting a good debate.

I am offended that Satan has so easily blinded them from the truth, but at the same time remember when I walked in this same spiritual darkness so can genuinely care about them.

I am offended that people take so lightly the incredible love and sacrifice God made on their behalf when Christ beaten and bleeding died for them to deliver them from spiritual ignorance and death and eternal punishment.

I am further offended that the people of God in this generation
have not fulfilled the great commission and have made many excuses for not reaching the multitudes who are dying in sin and without hope. The failure of the body of Christ has created an atmosphere where mockery has become the order of the day, and is becoming more and more acceptable
as moral standards continue to fall drastically in our world.

We have earned the scorn of a world desperately in need of a clarion call to repentance with our soft preaching and "loving" ways. It is long past time that the prophets of God return and call the body of Christ to repentance, and the world to turn to Christ. The preaching of God's holiness and wrath need to return to the pulpit along with the preaching and
teaching of His love and mercy. To preach one to the exclusion of the other is to deny part of the word of God and give half truths that will not deliver many in need of salvation.

Pray for revival - without it this world wil rush headlong toward judgment while the church remains a sleeping giant, impotent and powerless to stop it from happening.

I like this question. I have managed my hereditary anger by becoming a Christian. I don't mean that I just prayed for forgiveness but I live the life 24/7. I do everything I can to protect the presence and anointing in my life.

Now the one area I am still a little weak in is using my God's (or his son's) name in vane or out of context. There are a lot of people talking about God and giving their advice that do not even know him.

God teaches us who he is in the bible. We need to learn to read our bibles daily, pray daily, worship him in spirit and in truth and then go tell someone.

So, to sum up my answer, I agree with you and thank you for asking such an important question in a day when men and women think THEY can decide what is right or wrong. God has already told all humanity what is good and what is bad.

I just hope people will decide to choose good.

Look I dont believe in killing a part of God so I could be saved but Id be bothered a tad if people spoke deragatory about Jesus. Because it obviously means a lot to you and a lot of other peeps.

I dont believe in insulting anything that means something important to someone.

Only bullies do that.

I might be seen criticising your beliefs, but I wont be caught dead insulting them.

I only hope people understand the difference between that.

Pegs answer is just great too.

Yeah, the religious stuff irritates me to too. I hate when people talk about "holy rollers" and "bible thumpers". I can think of A LOT worse ways to live, and really that's how people SHOULD be living. I get annoyed too because I feel like when someone starts shooting off their mouth, because I then remember the bible story of the apostle( Peter?) denying Jesus three times, then ethically, I HAVE to say something or my conscience is going to kick me in the *** for being a hypocrit.

My faith. People who cut down your faith are no better than the extremist Muslims who caused 9/11. It's to my experience that the Atheists lurk around in the religion & spirituality section, when if they have a question to ask about their beliefs, it should be under society & culture. Poor things must be brain damaged or either searching for something.

by faith I thought you meant religion because I was going to say I consider myself a believer though I don't belong to any religion and don't care to. I agree I think and believe some people have no respect for God. One can make fun of and say many things about different things. But when it comes to God they should do their best to avoid anything as in saying or doing that is disrespectful towards him. It's true what you say because of what he did and all he stands for. God bless you and keep you well.

Marie...I am offended by people putting down something that they do not understand (knowledge is not the same as understanding). I am offended by generalizations. I am offended by the use of pornographic reference, racial and sexist comments (including gay bashing), and the use of foul language...even when covered up by using symbols.

I am offended that some do not admit to being offensive and their whole excuse is...well you do it to us...that is so childish.

I am offended when some people use religion to advance their personal agenda's that are not religion oriented.

I am offended when the question asker puts so many comments in that its a purpose statement and not a question.

I am offended when I answer a question in sincerity and the asker adds a nasty comment directed at me. I am offended when they write to me personally and continue to attack me. If I make a mistake, I check it out and apologize if I am truly wrong. No one apologizes for writing me in email and calling me names I will not repeat here.

This applies to all people here, not just those who put down our beliefs.

God answers this best

Psalm 119:165
Great peace have they which love thy law:
and nothing shall offend them.

Don't offend and don't take offence from anyone.

Remember Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in
high places.

More than once on YA I have discerned evil in the words of the typer. We are dealing with evil spirits.
