Possibly, unless he has recently had that particular strain of cold virus and has immunity.

Your husband may or may not get your cold. There's no real way to predict for any of us to predict this. You know him and we don't - does he get sick easily? Does he have frequent colds?
You can disinfect the surfaces in your home but keep in mind that the cold virus is respiratory. It's transmitted through droplets expelled duing coughing and sneezing but it's also in saliva and is transmitted through kissing and sharing food/drink. The virus can be left on doorknobs and countertops and transmitted this way too. Just do the best you can and don't worry. If he starts showing symptoms - and you both know what his early symptoms are - he can use Zicam, an OTC cold remedy, that truly does shorten the duration of a cold. Next time you feel one coming on, you try it yourself. You'll feel better in another 5 days or so. Take care.

good q!
It's so ironic: we live in a "cover your mouth when you cough and or sneeze" world, but then we are told to "go out and shake hands with people we hardly don't even know."
Sterilize a special cup and other dishes and dishware--just for you--after you wash down all metal objects. HINT: "Google "PHOMITES"
Wash your hands often--and usually the cold will not spread from you when it has passed the infectious phase.
You'll know when you've reached that point, when the stuff your hopefully sneezing and or coughing up starts to lessen and becomes clearer--wait a few days after that before you start french kissing him.

If i were you, I would disinfect your house. Clean it very well and try not sneezing everywhere, but everytime you get the urge to sneeze, grab a tissue. Also, just a suggestion, but mucinex is a great cold remedy. Everytime I feel a cold coming on I just starting take it. Clears it right up!! Great Stuff I highly suggest it!

Be as anti-germ-oriented as possible. Wash your hands frequently with hot water (as tolerated) and soap. Wash between your fingers, near your nail tips, and your entire hand. Be careful to dispose of dirty tissue and keep anything you handle (cups, silverware, etc.) in one area of the house. Remember to use a tissue when you sneeze if possible. The tissue will help to buffer what your hand(s) sometimes cannot. If you take all of these precautions and your husband still gets your cold, don't blame yourself...It was destiny. Sometimes, despite everything, someone else's immune system can't fight off the cold virus. Disinfect the air with Lysol spray (your choice of fragrance) and wash down the bathroom fixtures and toilet with Lysol Cleaner (extremely low amount of water added for the sink, faucet, bathtub, bathtub faucets, etc). Add it purely to the tank water and wash the rim of the toilet.

Honey I feel for you. My man thinks he's dying if he has a cold!!!!!!!!! Give him something that will knock him out like Ny-Quil or something!!!!Just joking. Wash your blankets and sheets, add a little bleach when you wash your dishes. And though Lysol is good I find it much better to put straight rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and using that to spray just about everything. But if nothing else and he does get it,nothing much to do except take your meds and take it easy. At least you'll have a bed partner in recovery. Hope you feel better soon.

Catching a cold or virus depends on ones immunity. I have never caught anything from another person and I worked in a hospital for many years. If he is healthy, it isn't likely that he will catch it.

Start spraying with Lysol Spray and make sure both of you get the fruits and vitamin intake going BEFORE he gets sick.
