when I was in Jamaica and Amsterdam I used them(never in the USA, that would be illegal) They are fun and a good time. Some people like them others don't. As for supreme knowledge, I would have to say no. Sometimes people think about things differently under the influence of them and maybe figure something out due to the new perspective but that isn't sepreme knowledge or even good. Think about someone who is drinking. They may come to a completely different conclusion about something and then act on that new thought. In the end they may look like an idiot and do something stupid. Think of the same thing for mushrooms. If you are somewhere like Amsterdam I say there is no problem in trying them if you want, however, chronic use of them I would say is a big no. Also be of age if considering them

No, yes, no.

It depends on which "magic mushroom" you are talking about. Some seem to affect the same areas of the brain that are activated by spiritual or religious experiences. They can give you the same sense of "god's" presence or "nirvana" that you get from "spiritual" experience. It's something but it's not supreme knowledge.

Should people? If it was legal I would definitely encourage it. It is important to realize that "seeing god" or "becoming one with the universe" is just a neurochemical reaction. Plus, from what I hear, it is a good experience in general.

So why haven't I tried it? Because it's not legal and I don't know anyone with a ready supply. It's not worth enough to me that I would break the law to try it.

Psilocybe mushrooms, i.e. magic mushrooms, have thousands of years of use as sacred plant teachers. By altering your consciousness, they propel you into a reality whereby you can better consider the more profound aspects of life, death, and the nature of the sacred. For me, they have reinforced my sense of awe and reverence for the natural world. This planet is quite special when people aren't messing it up.

You should only use them in locations where said use is legal as jail time is never conducive to a divine experience. As for supreme knowledge, that kind of knowledge is the kind found only through un-knowing, no words will describe it. Rather what one finds with mushroom use is a comprehension of the harmony of process in the natural world, a heightened sense of the aesthetic beauty of nature, and a deep-seated emotional opening of heart-energy i.e. love and compassion for all beings.

They will promote hallucinations and mild muscle ataxia. Often they will cause you stomach upset. If you accidentally consume amanita mushrooms instead of the psilocybe, you may need a new liver. As for supreme knowledge, I never found that in the pharmacopeia! I'd be amused to see a bottle of prescription meds that said : WARNING: Side effects include Supreme Knowledge!

i used to pick them and eat them when i lived in louisiana
theyre called psilicybin cubensis
timothy leary took some in mexico
with some shamen
and then had psilicybin synthesized in a lab
before he found out about lsd
theese types of drugs are known as hallucinogens
also peyote cactus
i know one you can get from wal mart
thats legal
yes about the knowledge thing
but they can be dangerous
its very powerful spiritual medicine
email me if you have any more questions

i agree with the caution that your first trip
should definitely be with someone who is
mature experienced and someone who you trust
and feel comfortable with
because any bad or good feelings you are experiencing
can be multiplied many times

funny how people who have never tried them
have such a strong opinion of what its like : )
the outside looking in
and the inside looking out
are two different things

Theyre Magically delicious...
Seriously nothing gives Supreme knowledge.
Don't use it, you'll kill brain cells. The same ones you need for Supreme Knowledge

If a drug unlocks your brain and gives you supreme knowledge that would be an enormous human breakthrough.

BUT

They don't they give you a stomach ache and then you feel funny and see things that are not there. Just like having a fever induced dream.

Find something else to do with your time like read or get a job.

I don't think, so much as know that they contain cyanide, and that the human body does not excrete cyanide, so the more 'mushies' you ingest, the more toxin you put in your system.
Just in case, cyanide is a poison, and a nasty one.
It's not an instant death, either. Basically, it affects your heart, and your breathing. It doesn't sound like fun.
Simple summary; they might get you high, but they also run a High risk of killing you.
As long as you know the risks, you can make your own choices, okay?
Personally, I wouldn't use them.
If you want to, I won't stop you. I've given you the Big Scary Lecture, you're on your own, from here.
That easy.
Take care.

They are very bad for you, and can not only make you sick, but might kill you. They don't give you anything but Liver damage, no "supreme knowledge". I've never used them, even when I did drugs, I wasn't THAT stupid ! Keep away from them.

Hocus pocus. Need knowledge? Go grab a book, do your own research and ask an expert.

Meet a dead end? Search within yourself, self-contemplate and pray to God.

If no man has the knowledge then, it's God who'll know the best.
